To be fair though, the NY Soho area is always a quiet area. This crowd and cheering noise is actually an anomaly in that area.

I'm not a huge fan of his, but I can't deny his talent. most celebrities quickly run away from fans from the car to the building and vice versa. great respect to Ed for what he did. for him, it's 3 minutes, and for those hundreds of people who stood there, it's a nice memory for life. what a nice guy. most stars wouldn't do that. it's also a fact that most stars wouldn't sing acapela so well.
