Dinah Lee joined the RocKwiz Orkestra and The Bull Sisters to perform her 1964 hit for the RocKwiz Salutes The Decades - The 60s episode on SBS June 6 2015.
Dinah was the best guest i have ever seen on a program before, she was entertaining, engaging and definitely had more x factor than anyone else, perfect
She was the first artist we had to back when we were thrown in the deep end at Millers Manly Pacific Canopus Room otherwise known as The Can . We were very green just moved from Wollongong and signed with Showgroup management and followed the group that became Doug Parkinson In Focus. Dinah was there for a week and killed the crowd every night and was so easy to work with. We were Pages in Color.
A band I used to go and see at the local pubs in Perth, Dick and the Dames and then later when they changed their name to Our Gang, used to sing both her songs. For a long time I wonder where they go the songs and Googling it last night came up with Dinah. So happy I've filled in some music holes about songs I've wondered about for 30 plus years.
I used to haunt the Shiralee night club Customs Street Auckland in the mid sixties, Max Merrit and the Meteors were the resident group I saw Dinah Lee there on stage, boy didn't she have some power in her voice. Great times
SO DID I !!! a whole mob of us used to travel up from Papakura Saturday nights. Most of that old gang are dead sadly. We rocked to the Beatles and I learnt the twist lol!
No artist was more ideally suited to do this monster classic by the late, great Huey "Piano" Smith justice than was the legendary Dinah Lee. Absolutely magnificent encore performance here.

Vicka and Linda Bull.
They've made more than a few singers on that stage sound pretty ordinary by comparison.
Dinah did well to hold her own.
