- As the 20th anniversary of the still-unsolved murder of child beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey approaches, her brother, 29-year-old Burke Ramsey, has spoken out to Dr. Phil McGraw about his sister’s murder. Dr. Phil tells TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie that Burke’s odd smile throughout the interview shows that he is “a very socially awkward young man” who is trying to “control the narrative” about his sister’s death. He also says that there will be revelations about forensic evidence at the crime scene.

JonBenet Ramsey Murder: Brother Burke Ramsey Revealed Key Detail To Dr. Phil | TODAY
29 year old man smiling constantly about the death of his sister. How bizarre
That smile is not a normal smile, its the sorta smile that you potray when you are uncomfortable. Im not supporting him or his family, its just a psychological observations.
He was the murder
He's nervous
Apparently it's been proved that the family is not involved according to the DNA found in the girl's underwear. Somehow I feel the mother had an involvement. Idk if seems so bizarre
Not gonna lie, his smile is kinda creepy. That doesn't make him automatically guilty of killing her though.
Why would the mother who believed her child had been kidnapped, then leave the other child alone in the bedroom until the police arrived.
BOOM! so true!
So so true
theres only one answer to this question !
exactly, that was one of my biggest questions
because they were there and awake to assure no one else would be kidnapped!
he’s literally talking about his sister’s death and he’s sitting there like 😁. and phil doesn’t even ask why
Dr. Phil and the Ramsey family have the same lawyer
He was told by Burke's lawyers that he cannot ask certain questions.
Cos he killed his sister that's why.
It’s like dr phils one of the family. Uncle Phil asking the questions. Phils not going for it at all like he does with other guests. Washout.
@@FemmeFatalee HE’S FRICKIN ANXIOUS !
Regardless of his guilt or innocence: he's a creep. He looks creepy AF.
Both parents were creeps too! Uppity, snooty, rich creeps at that.

He did it for sure...look at his smiling face 🙂
You're a bad person
Why didnt Phil ask him "why are you smiling?!?!"
John Ramsey probably told him exactly what he could and couldn't discuss with his son.
He probably would of smacked Phil with a flashlight

If he did he'd probably either be smiling more or shut up all the way.
Because “Dr.” Phil is not a doctor, not a psychologist and not a trained journalist. Just a bulls-- artist.
watch the interview without sound, doesn't look like he is talking about the murder of his sister
ssssssoooooooooooo true
It looks as if hes describing the first time he met someone or the first time he did something exciting...you see hid eyes drift up the grin peaks more.. He explains something the grin goes down a little..then He thinks grin peaks again eyes go adrift.. Everytime he stops and thinks he grins ear to ear and looks off as if hes fondly remembering it
@@joeytrimble1558 very true..I agree...
Yea I showed this to my cousin and she was confused-ish and didn’t even KNOW he was talking about his dead baby sister.

Have some compassion and just think for a sec why someone might act different than YOU .hes clearly not totally okay mentally

Daddy is getting up there in age. He won’t be around to protect Burke for much longer. I predict Burke will admit to everything pretty soon after daddy passes.
After all this time it should be fairly obvious that JonBenet was killed by someone in the family. The staged evidence left behind at the crime scene was too much, and too perfect. Remember, this was first reported as a kidnapping with multiple papers for people to find demanding $118,000. Doesn't that random number seem a bit odd in this case??? This was a 15 room mansion! If it had been a real kidnapping, JonBenet wouldn't have been left dead at the estate, and the ransom demand would have been through the roof. This kind of case makes me as mad as the OJ Simpson case. The murderers are right in front of their eyes and they are to inept to prove it. Nice crime scene investigation dipshits!
agreed!
***** Exactly my point..,
mep41376 Exactly what I was getting at. Well said! Everything points to the family in this case and nothing is being done about it. Yet our judicial system wastes time and money putting people behind bars for selling a joint! Get your priorities straight for crying out loud!
+B Davis. False, actually a majority of the investigators believe the parents had involvement but a lot of them disagree on whether Burke was involved or not. Grand jury was going to indict them but couldn't because they knew who did it, but because of circumstantial evidence they couldn't prove who did what, which was why the DA didn't move forward. John had a history of being in the navy so he would have knowledge of such knots. All evidence points to family. No exit or entry points, parents said they searched all rooms BUT the basement. If they're kid was kidnapped why wouldn't they search the basement too? Right after they got off with 911 even though the note said not to tell anyone unless they wanted their child beheaded, they then proceed to invite a group of family and friends over. Strange don't you think? Burke is heard in the background of the 911 call even though patsy said he was asleep the whole night. 911 call said after patsy thought she hung up, Patsy's voice went back to being composed. The ransom amount matched that of the bonus John was getting (indicating someone who knew the family). The crime was also extremely personal. The ransom note drafts were found in the house which closely match Patsy's left hand-handwriting. Examiners found that Jon Benet had been brutally sexually assaulted repeatedly, weeks or months before her murder due to her hymen not being intact and bruises and irritation around the vagina as well as other things, all of which had been in the process of healing indicating repeat sexual abuse. She had been to the doctor 27 times in three years with a majority of cases being vaginitis which is not seen in children commonly or if at all unless they're being sexually abused. She had a problem with bed wetting also another sign of being sexually abused. She was fed pineapple right before she was killed. A bowl with pineapple and Burkes and Patsy's prints were found in the kitchen and Burke had admitted to feeding her the pineapple. (Yet his parents said Burke was asleep the whole night). Neighbors said they saw a light on in the butlers pantry area which was unusual. Burkes pants and his poop smeared over her toys were found in benets room. Benet was covered with a blanket and tucked in in her favorite nightgown (indicating a personal connection with the victim and a feeling of remorse.) she wasn't killed until an hour after that blow to her head, which could have been from the flashlight or the baseball bat both found in the home. It was already proven that those marks were not stun gun marks, but were marks from Burkes toy train tracks. Patsy was in her clothes from the day before. Now let's consider this. How would an intruder stroll inside the house, walk to benets room and kidnap her while having to walk past benets parents and brothers room without being heard? Why did the Ramsey's confidently forget to turn on the burglar alarm that specific nights of all nights, and how would the intruder have known that? Why instead of making a run for it, would he then go to the kitchen and feed her pineapple, walk her down to the basement with no way of escape in the chance he was caught, hit her in the head, leave her there for an hour, presumably in that time, stroll around the house once again looking for a pen and part in the dark, make rough drafts of a ransom note before deciding on a 3 page long ransom note (the world record for the longest ransom note ever having been recorded) then go back to the basement, take the time to finish her off and casually stroll out of the house all without being detected and neighbors who were up around the time not noticing. John had said he broke the window in the cellar previously, but there was a spider web undisturbed by the window proving there was no entry point from that location. This crime was an inside job, it was too personal. Burke killed her and the family covered it up. That's the only conclusion I can draw from this. There has never been any case of a body being found in the same location of a ransom note. EVER. Whether it was the family or not, there was some degree of staging.
+B Davis. How about from actual files relating to the case? I'm sorry that you're pulling things out of your ass and calling it fact, but I have actual proof to back it up and can email you the evidence if you liked. I've been researching this case for 11 years and I highly doubt you've dedicated as much time or know more about the case then I do. Sorry you have such an ego problem that anyone who challenges you is automatically wrong and you can't even consider for a second the fact that there are other theories.
I would NOT be smiling while speaking about the death of a family member. Wtf... I cannot relate to anyone saying "oh I understand, he's socially awkward or nervous".... BULLSHIT
I agree, it's way beyond nervousness. Something is off & it's not even a little smile. He's smiling so huge, the entire time. It's just weird
Yup & he speaks so nonchalantly about it. He shows no remorse or a hint of sadness. Almost seems like he doesn't care or happy that she's gone. Strange.
He did it.
You don't know because it isn't your situation. He has isolated himself since childhood when his parents kept him from the media barrage and knows damned well the can of worms is going to have people looking at him. It is no different to people who laugh at funerals, we don't all react the same way
That's fine.. but it still doesn't take away from the fact that he did it, most likely accidentally, the Ramsey's had money, panicked, did everything in their power to cover it up, protect Burke. They rather have their reputation be their child got killed by an unknown intruder rather than the "bad seed" (Burke) narrative. People were likely paid off, the Ramsey's succeeded, they got what they wanted (exonerated). Did their best to preserve Burkes livelihood.
He asked him like he was gonna be like
“Yeah I killed her...my bad”

I think they ask people point blank not because they think they’ll confess but they want to see body language and to be able to analyze him during and after the question.

If I thought for one second that someone had entered my home and kidnapped my child, I would be scouring that house for the way they got in and looking in every nook and cranny for her just in case. Also, I would not take the chance of leaving my 9 yr old son alone in his bed when someone had supposedly just kidnapped my other child. Nope, doesn't make sense, unless you already knew who did it and it was your other kid. I don't know for sure, but the more I read about this case, it's just so unlikely that someone was laying in wait while they were out to dinner. And it most definitely wasn't some stranger or a random pedophile.
It's so creepy how he keeps smiling. And don't tell me that it's because he's nervous or he's trying to get over his sister's death, you don't smile when you talk about a little girl who was sexually assaulted and brutally murdered.

It looked like the guy who confessed! However, did anyone wonder if John called his pilot so he could get his son out of that State & hide him away from Police & Press? Very odd family.
😂😂😂😂😂
It was Burke! Here is the evidence! Red Flag #1 After she found the note and checked Jon Benet's room, she called the police instead of running to her son's room to see if he was ok too! She didn't because she knew he was the killer! Red Flag #2 Once they did go to Burke's room, they told him to stay in the room and that the police were on there way. No one would say that because if it wasn't Burke, the killer might still be in the house! They told him to stay because they knew it was Burke! Red Flag #3 After the police interviewed them for 8 hours, which is always standard in homicides in the family home, The Ramsey's hired a lawyer and refused to speak to the police or allow Burke to speak to the police again. If you watch the ID channel, the police always have to rule the parents out first! They basically stale mated the investigation! Red Flag #4 When the police showed up, the Ramsey's had their friends over, their minister, walking through the crime scene and creating more chaos then needed! Should I continue?
Jmriccitelli very true
What I’m so sure if the mom wrote the ransom letter. It’s way too long, and non English speaker wont be able to do it in an emergency situation (like me). Plus the mom was a journalism student.
You could continue but why? There are still morons that would argue every point.
People don’t use common sense and rational reasoning. There are too many red flags in this case. That is why the grand jury indicted the Ramseys.
Yes,i think the same, the boy did it
Jmriccitelli agree people get put in jail for false murder and they all couldn’t go to jail or have Burke put in a asylum
Why has he a big smile on his face when talking about his sister's death? At times, there is delight in his eyes. This is seriously weird.
I think he was involved but I think the face is down to terror, an extreme introvert being plunged onto a settee in front of cameras and Dr Phil would've freaked him out totally
I think her dad did it. Brother is a little off though.
He looks happy with smile
Because it was him who did the dirty deed . End of .
@@FionaTheBunny Yeah. If John had gone to sleep immediately after putting JonBenet in bed like his wife told him to (The delivery/JonBenet will be exhausting/tired, so I/Patsy advise you/John to be rested/get to bed), JonBenet would still be alive.
It was not very smart of the father to suggest to Burke that he do this interview. He knew his son was incapable of displaying proper human emotion and he arranged the interview anyway.
He described Burke as a 'typical boy' remember. There's nothing wrong with Burke in his eyes. All boys hit their little sisters over the head with hard objects & spread feces on their bed. Typical boy. Either John's a liar or he is clueless. I pick the former.
Maybe the dad knows that his son is a psycho and deliberately set up the interview so that this whole thing unravels. Maybe dad is tired of keeping this secret.
I pick Both. Clueless and a liar
I think it was intentional to take the blame off himself and showcase the real murderer
he was most likely tired of getting blamed for it knowing his son did it. So he had him do the interview knowing everyone would switch the blame to him, but he still wouldn’t admit to the murder.
In the brother's interview, the boy said, "the body" in referring to his sister. He never said his sister's name. Who at normal nine years old speaks like that? He never said he missed her or was sad. Just said he has moved on! He didn't get out of bed in curiosity and tried to fall asleep in all that chaos, because he was full of guilt and wanted to hide from what he did.
That brother is a psycho. He shows signs of detachment. He is unremorseful, so jealous, and so guilty as sin!
I can't believe the mom and dad covered the crime up for their sick feces smearing son. I guess they blamed themselves for not giving him enough psychological attention.
Am I the only one who thinks it's a little weird to be judging a little boy for how he responded when his baby sister was murdered? Everyone deals with trama differently. It reminds me of the "a dingo ate my baby" story... there is no "correct" way to respond when being questioned about being a murderer
@@lauranight4572 he's not a little boy, he's like 30.he said this now. Not when he was nine.
@@sharonsmith1203 "who at normal nine year old speaks like that?" Is what I was referring to. But even now that he is an adult, you think he's a murderer because he dosent act the way you expect him to? There is no "normal" way to react to trama. Your comment reminds me of the "a dingo ate my baby" tragedy if you've heard of it. I reccomend looking it up, it's quite interesting.
@@lauranight4572 no that's not why. As I said, listen to the phone call to the police. The mother thought the phone hung up but it didn't. Secondly, the female cop on sight knew that the father knew the daughter was dead already. The boy laid in bed pretending to be asleep while police are looking with flashlights in his bedroom. No child is gonna lay there without panicking what is going on. The next day, the parents ship him away to live outside the house. No break-in occured.
It was an inside job. The brother had hit his sister before and even the Aunt was scared shitless of his rages. The girl had eaten the boys pineapple cereal right before her death. The boy was already angry and jealous about the attention that her sister got on that Christmas day. He used to put feces on her toys among other nasty things.
NOT A NORMAL CHILD. Nor is he a normal adult!
@@sharonsmith1203 again, you're accusing a nine year old boy of murder because he wasn't acting the way you want him too after his baby sister went missing. There's no correct or "normal" way to respond to trama, particularly if you're that young. And siting him being occasionally jealous or mean to his sister as "evidence" is just silly, when I was young I was very jealous when I felt my siblings were getting more attention then me, and I would be very nasty to them. That's just how siblings are sometimes. This theory has no evidence apart from improper speculation, even the police publically apologized for even suggesting it as a theory. Have you looked up the "a dingo ate my baby" case? It's very similar, a mother was accused of murdering her baby people she wasn't acting "normally" 🙄
Something is clearly wrong with him . I have dealt with people who are this socially
Awkward .. and they are constantly smiling . But I don’t know when I watch this ... it doesn’t feel right to me .
not usually how someone acts when being accused of murdering their sister........ he's gleeful when talking about it
yeah he's not creepy at all...I saw the two episodes, this guy smiled the whole way through it. that doesn't make him guilty of anything but it isn't a normal reaction either... he gave me the shivers
I'm really socially awkward and laugh at weird situations... people never understand why I laugh especially when I am told something bad but I feel weird and out of place and that's how I cope
As a psychologist, I know that's how some people who suffer from social anxiety respond, but not everyone who reacts that way has social anxiety. I very much doubt you'd have a smile on your face the entire time someone discusses the brutal death or one of your relatives. If you did, I'd at least notice it was an awkward smile, he didn't appear too anxious too me and his smile looked genuine (notice the smile wrinkles around his eyes. People who fake smile tend to not have those). but again, those are just my professional observations, doesn't mean that he's guilty. I'm pretty sure he knows more than he lets on though. Whether he did it or one of his parents did and forced him to lie about it...there's something fishy going on. He seems to apathetic to me
me too!! I find him very disturbing!! Agree with you totally-yeah, of course it doesn't make him guilty but smiling and chuckling the whole time while talking about something so morbid gives me the creeps!! I would be so nervous and anxious being in front of the cameras too but I would not smile or laugh like he did while talking about my sister's mysterious murder!!
He’s autistic....
You sound just was nuts as he is....
He never showed any sadness towards the loss of his sister. Not as a kid and not in the interview with Dr. Phil.
That's because he is a psychopath! he did it!
If a parent were to suspect that an intruder might have killed their daughter, wouldn't it be normal for the parent to first find their son quickly and make sure he is always by their side? That is what I believe.
Or go down to the police station, basically move in demanding action
I lost my sister in 1991 . I cry bitterly when I talk about her . I wonder how Jon Bonnet's brother could smile while talking about her death.
Some people smile cuz they're nervous
Maybe nerves? Cameras pointing at him? His first interview since?
Cause he did it
My brother would be destroyed about my death not smiling on a tv show.

I'm not sure what American law is like but he could have be locked up in a reform home or mental institution at that age and they were worried about losing another child. Of course these are all just theories and hopefully one day her murder is solved.
dad did it mom wrote the note
i still think he did it
Why? Gut feelings don't count either...
his voice is at the end of the 911 call. he says "are they going to arrest me? " he did it.
+stephanie Galloway Well, Stephanie... I am a man that sides with caution. You see as a black man, I know what it's like to be falsely accused of something I didn't do. As a matter of fact, such accusation pushed me to become very educated like yourself. Being completely real, I felt I needed to fit the mold of those who normally aren't accused. So excuse me if I'm not quick to formulate an opinion that insinuates his guilt. I am assuming the police department has done their jobs, and if the parents did cover anything up, then they are accountable forever. But we the people of the United States have no such incite without solid evidence to examine. So to say he's guilty means that you are cut from the cloth of those that supported slavery based on an ignorant assumption that blacks were as inferior as the animals. Clearly that is a mediocre opinion but you know what, slavery happened. So quick and uneducated judgement benefits no one, not even Jon Bonet.
+Bob Hope as a black woman, 💯
+iveywebb lol right. how do you go from a murder of a child to slavery. no comparison. uncle ruckus
There was another special about the JonBenet Ramsey case (or was in the Dr. Phil interview?) where the 9-11 operator spoke for the very first time. She said she'd never been interviewed, and became quite emotional during the interview. She said she definitely heard voices on the line after Patsy tried to hang up the phone. The Ramsey's have always said Burke was in bed, but (if I'm remembering correctly) the 9-11 operator says she heard a child's voice in the background. It was very interesting. My verdict is an accident and then coverup.
It's also super weird that he laid in bed for about an hour after his mother came frantic into his room.
more evidence that he is the one.........
The kid was 9. Let's not get carried away here... it's not that weird. Come on, calm down.
Well then your opinion is the dumbest, most thoughtless, baseless piece-of-crap thinking the internet doesn't need right now. You're a dime a dozen. I thoroughly reject your sesame street analysis and will motion to have your keyboard broken in half. Please remain silent and let fully functioning citizens discuss the weightier matters of this case. Have a great day in remedial English... and remember, drugs aren't cool.
+Sabina Kortez Once again you have reinforced your buffoonery with rudimentary syllable use and blatant disregard for the enjoyment of literate people.
+Bob Hope 😂😂😂
May this little angel Rest in piece. XoXo 😇🙏🏻💕❤️
This is disturbing
He's very weird. Like, I understand being socially awkward, but he's just creepy.
most murderers are.
Patsy Ramsey famously said, “keep your babies close to you, cuz there’s a killer on the loose.” While allowing her son to stay in his room before/after the police arrives 🙃
I don’t know who did it or didn’t do it, but I do know one thing. Smiling doesn’t guarantee anything in regards to guilt. I smile all the time when I’m nervous. I also laugh at awkward/nervewracking situations.
Whenever someone asks me about a traumatic period from my childhood I tell it with a big smile and a dose of dark humor. It’s a coping mechanism, it’s easier to tell about a traumatic experience like it happened to someone else with a smile than reliving it.
If I ever get questioned for a crime that I'm guilty of, I'll memorize Burke's back story to get out of any responsibility for my actions or how guilty I'm acting.
just smile your way through the interrogation and say you are nervous - disaster averted
People can say some people smile in awkward moments but having a little sparkle in your eye whilst doing it is weird.
SOMEBODY in that family did it!!!
Dr Phil is a smart, SMART man. Him & John must be friends.
"Apparently still a lot of tension"...he says as if he wishes people would just get over it
It’s a revealing turn of phrase, he is surprised that people are still going on about it.
Which is insane when you consider he should be desperate to find the killer as this case has gone unsolved for so long, unless of course, he did it and wants it to just go away.
He seems to be genuinely happy, talking about his mom being in agony looking for JB. It’s definitely not a nervous smile. Something is seriously wrong with him.
No the only reason he became a “private person” is because he most likely did it and even if he didn’t do it he was definitely involved
The way he smiles and speaks about how the Media was all over them, is like he was having the time of his life because he was "famous". He's more interested about the fact that he was a public figure rather than talk about his Sister...
The dad ran down to grab her when police said they were going to search the house because his DNA was on the items they used to cover up. He undid the rope and tape on her mouth so the DNA transfer couldn't be linked to before when the cover up was taking place.
Wrong...the FBI report...proves...your theory..100% wrong...no DNA was removed...it was all over her panties....under her fingernails, etc. ...it does not belong to anyone in the family...it belongs to a latino male..
The media demonized the family from day 1...when the FBI proved the media...100% wrong...the media...ignored the FBI report....the second D.A. apology letter to the family...was hardly news....
It is very dangerous...when the media...has more power...more credibility...
than the FBI...it destroys...innocent people..families..it kills innocent people...like in the Lindberg case...an innocent man was executed...same as here...the media called him a psychopath, the grand jury indicted, the jury convicted, etc. .....like the poor guard at the 1996 olympics...the media demonized him...he lost his job..house..his mom had a stroke..he was totally innocent...so are the Ramsey s...
Dude one of the persons on the panel of investigators for that show was an exFBI profiler.
***** Yes...they are innocent..100%...
So was the guard at the 1996 olympics..about whom the media said the same things they said about the Ramsey s, so was the guy the media convicted...who was executed...in the Lindbeg case..
The media...tabloid TV shows, etc......for ratings...money, etc. ...have zero credibility..they have blood on their greedy hands.....
The FBI...DNA...from the killer...has cleared the family...case closed...
That is the truth...not what a pathetic.TV tabloid show says...that a 9 year old, who was sick in bed..is a murderer..
That is ridiculous...
Yeah same with OJ. Thank the Lord they didn't incarcerate HIM.
***** Nonsense....the coroner said no such thing...the media said that...invented lots of nonsense...to demonize the family....for ratings...for greed..
The family had zero to do with the crime...it is solved....
The media is shameless...truth means...zero....ratings...is everything....
Ask the poor guy who was executed in the Lindberg case....lynched by the media...
totally innocent....ask the poor security guard at the 1996 olympics.....lynched by the media....demonized...just like the Ramsey s.....
by profilers...who called him a psychopath..etc. etc. ....the guy was totally innocent...
I've always thought Burke the brother did it by accident and the parents panicked and covered it up because they couldnt lose both children I don't think he's a killer I think he was an awkward boy and a jealous brother I think he hit her and accidentally killed her and they all had to cover it up for him. He'd previously hit her round the face with a golf club she had a mark on her face from it but was ok and he probably did the same again and didn't realize how hard he'd hit her this time it's sad how he basically got away with it
One who kills another person IS a killer.
Periodttttt! Every since I saw that episode on criminal minds I thought the same thing
Also he put his feces all over Jon benet s candy and toys and her walk he was and still is disturbed
‘n the father probably went to far. Your theory is DEFINITELY correct, no doubt. For example when the investigators came to find jon, the father knew EXACTLY where her body was and dragged her body up the steps (I believe) and carried her up the basement steps, with no emotion. Even the mother showed more emotion then him.
DNA was found in her underwear belonging to another man in recent years. The family is cleared formally. He DIDN’T do it! What’s wrong with everybody! Accusing before the actual facts. That’s probably why this man is so traumatized, and I believe he has an incongruent affect resulting in smiling, because all these people have spread lies about the family. It’s just that they did not have the testing ability back then that we do now. You should all follow up with facts and research it before accusing. It’s messed up to theorize and spread false information to ignorant people who believe anything.
If his goal was to normalize his identity & rid himself/his family of accusation, he definitely failed miserably.
i think he did it for a lot of money
What about Dr Phil? Dude looks like he's been chasing the dragon.
lmao
Lmao!!!!
Kirstie Hampton lmfao!!!!!
LMAO
Oh yeah, and for those saying that he's "on the spectrum": that doesn't mean he didn't murder his sister. Food for thought. Goodnight.
+Nanny Boo OK.
+Nanny Boo there was other evidence on Benet as the crime scene had been contaminated. Grand jury was going to indict the Ramsey's but the DA couldn't move forward because they knew who did it but not who did what, and they also couldn't go forward because of the crime scene being contaminated by family, the Ramsey's friends, and police officers. Also it was already proven that it wasn't a stun gun but Burkes toy train tracks that caused those marks. Benet had been sexually assaulted weeks if not months before her murder and examiners said the assault was so severe she would have had evidence of blood and fluid in her panties and bruises around her vagina. You're telling me mom never noticed? She went to the doctor 27 times, a lot of the cases of it being for vaginitis, which is rarely seen in children and so commonly at that, unless sexually abused. She was bed wetting, another indicator of abuse. John had behavioral issues and his pants were found in his room as well as his feces smeared on her wall and chocolates. She was fed pineapple two hours before she died, and Burke said he fed her the pineapple. Meaning he was the last to see her. Rough drafts of the ransom were found in the house. There has never in history been a 3 page ransom note, and the body being in the same place as the ransom note ever! And at that why would an intruder leisurely stroll around the house looking for a pen and paper and construct a long ransom note IN THE HOUSE. He was in the house for at least 7 hours, why would he hide in the basement with no point of escape if he had been caught. No point of entry, no point of exit. The ransom amount was 118,000 which was around the amount John got from his bonus (indicating someone close to the family). Her body was covered in a blanket and she was tucked in her favorite pajamas (indicating personal connection to the victim and feeling of remorse). She wasn't killed until an hour after the blow and the examiners said the force was so hard and painful that she would have screamed. Neighbors said they saw a light on in the butlers pantry which was strange but they were up around the time of the murder and never saw anyone come or go. The killer would have had to walk past Burke and the parents room to kidnap Benet (how would he have known which exact room was hers) there's so much that doesn't add up. And unfortunately we will never know. Just food for thought though.
There was other DNA evidence because of the crime scene being contaminated, which is what I meant to says
Correction: Burkes pants were found in benets room!
L
Why would a parent leave their other child alone in their room, on a different level of the house if they just found a random note from a kidnapper that supposedly just kidnapped their other child ?? Make it make sense please ? 🙄
He was awkward back then. I just watched the 4 hour special on CBS. He smiled and acted weird days after the murder of his sister when he was interviewed. The dad is a smart cookie. He knew the CBS special was coming out. Worked with Turner BS to do their own biased show and had him come out of hiding to do this interview with Dr Phil only if Dr Phil didn't incriminate him.
The family knew that the CBS special with FBI agents looking very thoroughly at this case was going to be released to the public..so John Ramsey hurried and had a set up with Dr Phil & dragged his disgusting son out of the cave that monster lived in to try so he could try to save himself! It's so obvious..ohh I hope they lock him away..he killed her & there's no question in my mind..he has all the signs of a killer psychopath! Those interviews with the psychologist after the murder gave me chills! He was so calm & cocky..but one thing that stood out the most to me was the 2 marks on her body after she was dead..clearly from those train tracks..a child &/or killer poked the dead body to see if she was still alive..if one of the adults even thought she was hurt, they would have rushed to pick her up & call 911! Not poke her..& that pineapple!!!!! Don't get me started..he was up eating it with her! Stop being ignorant..he did it!! Lock that monster up please
The part where the interviewer shows him the picture of the bowl of pineapple is what convinced me. He certainly had an attitude during both interviews ... "I'm above this" ... "this is a waste of time" ... "I'm smarter than you." The only time he actually looks concerned after a question is when the interviewer shows him the picture of the bowl and asks him what's in it. Suddenly he's not such a smart-alack. He takes his time answering the question and even suggests that maybe it's cereal. For the first time, he realized that these investigators had figured out a part of the story that was actually true. If it really was just a regular bowl of food that had no significance his smart-alack attitude would of continued through the question.
Also the whole "poop smearing" thing is disturbing. Would of been hilarious to watch Dr. Phil grill him on that.
you are exactly correct. They knew the special was coming out and did this as damage control. I thought many things were odd about the interview, but did you notice how his father and him werent interviewed together, but the lawyer and the dad were? I wonder if his father cant stand his son knowing what happened.
Yep, the Ramseys hid behind their lawyers...Their own best friends, the the White Family called them cowards to not facing up to the truth....i rather let the world know it was an accident, and live with the pain my son accidentally killed her, then go through some BS story that she was kidnapped, blah, blah, blah....its ashamed they would do that. I could not take that to my grave, no way.
if they were interviewd together then it would be even more obvious that they had cooked up a common story together
One thing I noticed
When coming out of the funeral mass for Jon benet he had a big smile on his face!!!!!!He was walking ahead of patsy!
All makes senses now.
I think the brother knows more than he's saying. I just think it's strange.
He probably does but whatever memories he has are probably repressed because of his parents.
I laugh when im uncomfertable and smile when im awkward or shocked, or embarrassed.
Exactly that is not always a sign of guilt...and Dr Phil as a so called dr should know this...when Im nervous..I smile too..its a nervous smile...if hes an introvert and has not had alot of ppl interaction..its natural an interview that will be viewed nationally will have him feeling nervous
i am the same way
The poor boy suffered enough, leave him alone,
Missed it? OR DOESN'T WANT HIS LICENSE TAKEN AWAY FOR VIOLATING LAWS GOVERNING PRIVACY?!!! Psychologists are required to adhere to a set of ethics that requires them to refrain from diagnosing people who are not their own patients whom they have never performed a background delving. If a psychologist is caught diagnosing celebrities whom they haven't formally performed an assessment of, they could be stripped of their license! Dr. Phil obviously knows this; that's why he decides to euphemistically indirectly name "Asperger" by mentioning all the textbook/classic symptoms but never the name itself: loves computers, very socially awkward, feels uncomfortable around other people works from home so he isn't surrounded by people. It's pretty damn clear Dr. Phil missed nothing.
Not as much as JonBenet moron
That's a strange fellow right there.
😂😂😂
He looks a little too lively recalling that unfortunate day…
Why does his face light up and why is there a euphoric expression on his face when he is discussing the brutal and vicious torture of his murdered sister?
This man is so freakin creepy, I think the whole family was involved to some extent
I think the mom or brother killed her or both of them not the dad he seems actually sad and sincere. The brother is smiling and idk the mom is sus but that’s just my opinion
I think he killed her and the parents covered it up
He is doing it now because of the documentary The Case of JonBenet Ramsey airing soon which uncovers the truth.
Wtf is he smiling so hard
THERE'S NOTHING TO SMILE ABOUT HERE
SMH
I don't believe Dr. Phil. He lied on his show when he implied no 9 year old could do this. Lots of kids do psychopathic things, LOTS. All the time.
He smiles like Norman Bates
He has a lot to hide no doubt.
He’s autistic
He looks mad creepy. Sick.
ᴵ ᶜᵃᶫᶫ ᵇᵘᶫᶫˢʰᶦᵗ⋅
he looks very calm and cordial for an interview. there were no Footsteps in the snow and a letter look like it is in childlike and who is going to have all the information about his father? And he smiling a lot makes me really uncomfortable
Burke knows more than he is letting on.
He’s a murderer....his smiling and body language gives him away!
How do you know he killed her were you there?
@@caesarbronson7227 hi Burke!
It’s a grimace, walnut balls. He is nervous and hurt that he has to talk about his sister on live tv. Also, he may be on the spectrum though, I doubt you know what that is anyway, q tip ear. He may not know how to act in social situations (like me) I laugh in the wrong places, get emotional, and ramble. He seems to act in situations like these, where, most people would cry, he doesn’t read social cues correctly so his brain tells him to do the wrong thing.
@@DaisyandJesus116 I agree, he was only 9 so how the heck can he stage the whole scene and write a 3 page elaborate ransom note like some 40 year old man?? imo it was some local sick POS or someone who worked for the dad or someone in a local trafficking ring. No freaking 9 year old is going to do all of that, god people are so dumb
thank GOD you dont work for the FBI, he's got Aspergers my friend has it and it's something people are born with, walnut balls.
why is he smiling...
Burke’s account of what happened that morning when asked by Dr Phil is different to what he stated happened in his original videos as a young boy.....
it's suspicious that after 20 years he "wanted to control the narrative" and tell his side of the story... a lot of serial killers like the attention that comes with killing, they will willingly insert themselves in the investigations and try to be the focus of the attention (without being too obvious that they killed someone). I believe Burke is doing that: he KNOWS it is the 20th anniversary, he wants to bring all that attention back to him, and this special date allows him to do that even more. But I think he miscalculated people's reactions, as he probably thought everybody would take pity on him after this interview and view him as a victim (always his goal, as he was mad about all the attention JonBenet received), but his bizarre behaviour plays against him. I believe he killed her...
He is glowing with deceiver's glee
I believe his strange behavior is due to abuse he suffered as a child alike his sister.
@@claudiacooper1934 like what? sexual abuse?
@@michaelkennedy5126 he is shining...
@@Alfakkin Yes! Both children are reported to have exhibited behaviors which can be indicative of sexual abuse eg , smearing of fecal matter.,bed wetting.....His adult behavior is consistent with someone who suffers from personality dissociation.
He did it. I don’t understand why he’s smiling
I can tell he's hiding somthing, he has his eyes wide open, smiling, sitting straight up and figiting
Oftentimes, when you try to shield your children from the immediate consequences of their actions -- you actually end up exposing them to a lifetime of misery and pain. This is the sense behind "sparing the rod" of correction only to corrupt the child completely.
He wasn't asleep.....
Creepy how he said flashlight twice in reference to his memory of being woken up, knowing it was his murder weapon .he is just playing with everyone at this point
Wow. He looks just like his mother.
yes, he's a total doppelganger
They both did, he just didn't have his hair ritually bleached and permed.
spitting image of her! She looked like her mom too but she also looked a lot like her dad. Big mix of both.
He really does look like a spitting image of her but at the same time he has features and facial structure of his dad, if you look at his dad you'll see what I'm talking about.
why do so many people care---are these all women giving you a thumbs up---who gives a rip ---the point is he is cold blooded killer!
This family makes me sick. It's clear that one of them was involved, without question. It's just common sense. The brother most likely did it. But as a parent how can you protect a child when they've done this? How could the police initially on the scene not separate them and get witness statements? Why did the police not search the house from top to bottom as soon as they got there? Basic police requirement no? This poor little child was let down not only by her family, but the local police force and DA who covered it up. Disgusting. There will never be justice until someone comes forward
It's a weird family. The father or mother wrote the really creepy/surreal ransom letter. The beauty pageant thing is just weird. There's a lot about this family we still don't know that happened behind closed doors.
No way. He was nine years old. He was asleep all night
The police didn't search because they were told they had to get permission from the family before searching their house. The family refused to let them collect evidence for anything. That's why it's still unsolved. Because the family obviously didn't want this murder solved. Which is why people are pointing their finger at Burke because it makes you wonder if the parents created the ransom note to protect Burke.
I am no expert at law or anything but in the case of a crime the police would still have to get permission to search?
it might be some stupid colorado law. never heard of a police needing anything to search a crime scene, specially one with a dead body!
I thought he slept through the whole thing?
Also given the media training the Ramsays had ... why not give him coaching to NOT smile and laugh?
yeah strange that smiling talking about a tragic event.
wow making some broad conclusions there BOB--suppose you clue us in why you are such an expert...
"Bob" is correct. I still smile when I'm about to smash someone in their nose holes. I smile in arguments, I smile when something goes wrong... but best believe I handle the situation like I'm suppose to. It's a social quark... nothing more, nothing less.
He’s autistic
