Ha, I did this job last month, my hubs just fell off as well. The secret is HAVING the special tool, which means you won't actually need it. Also, a wood chisel on metal? use an an old screwdriver and keep your chisels sharp!
Thanks a ton for this video! Ruined my E30 (unfortunately) on Thanksgiving and now I've got to replace front hubs, subframe and oil pan. So this helped a ton, thank you!
It didn't take a lot of force to get it on, but technically you should only apply force to the inner bearing race so that you're not stressing the bearing.

These are junk chisels I keep especially for this kind of thing!
my dad would still yell at you. Great videos, keep em going. My e30 rolled SO much better after replacing mine, so happy after I did them.

You don't need to press on the brake pedal or put it on the ground. The nut sits on the spindle, and the spindle does not rotate. The bearing rotates.
Holy crap, you are so right! I never even thought about it, I just listened to other people who say do it on the ground.
EuroGarage Believe me, I did exact same thing first time I did it 😂
I had no idea that a bad wheel bearing was causing that noise. I had the same issue thx for the video will try it out soon
GREAT Video as always :) much love from Germany
My MB wheel bearings are adjustable when they become loose. They dont make em laike that anymore in this day and age!
best video becouse we can learn something new and useful
nice vid man!
hahahahaha i like the cheap torque wrench method.
keep it up man!!
I used a 30mm from autozone to get my axle nut off
wow much science lol
Please upload a video driving the car, how pulls how sounds how handle

What were you hitting with the chisel after you tightened the nut? Something to prevent the nut backing off?
There is a locking tab yes!
I KNOW YOU WATCHED THOSE SHOOTING STARS MEMES
Cross threaded or torqued to spec.....tight is tight.
how much is the torque spec tho
Are you running 5 lug adaptors ? Or did you do a 5 lug swap?
Where did you get the wheel bearings and hubs?
He said FCP. It's fcpeuro.com
can you link the bearing/hub puller?
Is this the same for the rear wheels?
sorry u made a mistake you should have gotten e36 m3 hubs and put e36 m3 brakes on as a upgrade and run the contors without a spacer/adaptor
cool!!
next video RX7 break upgrade with 750 master cylinder🎉🎉🎉
outro music hahaha
first 💪
You could have done a 5 lug swap at this point
Good video but you are foolish for ignoring torque specs for bearings.
First
fcpeuro.com Thats were he bought his parts.
Perpindicular Force x Distance= Moment!!!
редисочка

Carhard I own more than one. Only up to 150lb or so.
