I found a second Pseudo near the side mission to help the guitar playing stalker and after getting it stuck in one spot took 14 grenades, 200 pistol rounds, 80 buckshot shells and a good 50 or so rifle rounds to put down. The whole thing took so long I had to fight a group of bandits half way through. I'd rather they make the encounters more frequent but tune down the health to around 1/3 or even 1/4 the current value. As is currently if you bump into one on open fields and your not carrying a Saiga (and no other shotgun will do) and a good 200 shells you're toast if you can't book it.
In the arena fight i just knew that the bastard will be over tanked. So i just climbed on boxes, and it hid behind a box but exposing its head. So, i aimed and gave headshots single shots. I barely managed to kill it since i spent like 20 rounds hitting its body in the beginning before i realised
Damn this shows how AI is absolutely stupid. In Original games they was way clever. At least Pseudogiant, snorks and chimera was way cooler. In CoP snorks and chimera will jump at you anyway if you get onto the container(or something similiar), cause they have a good jump height, pseudoG will just come closer and hit the ground until you die(the only way to counter that was jump in time). In Anomaly pack they even more deadliest, because some of them learn how to climb some objects(even if it looks silly). And HERE WE ARE. Few climbs onto container and pseudogiant, just stand there taking damage. This is such a shitshow. Amount of HP - i will not even mention it.
In previous attempts to kill the chimera, I stood on other containers in the same location and the Chimera jumped on me 😉 But in most cases, yes, they really aren't that smart. People wrote here that they climbed containers in the Arena and the Chimera couldn't do anything.
In Shadow of Chornobyl, everything, including a Pseudogiant, went down after one RPG shot. The shockwave alone will cause damage to your vital organs, and then there's the explosive itself. Absolutely ridiculous.
One of the broken thing with the RPG-7 in SoC is that the rockets deal maximum damage no matter how far you are from the blast radius. Usually, the farther you are from an explosion, the less the damage you will receive, but it doesn't apply to SoC RPG
I love how some take the RPG straight to the face and Die And then you have the Rest like the Chimera and Pseudogiant that take like 10-20 of em to the face. Also keep in mind the RPG Round with Warhead we fire is a HEAT So basically not only are they hit with a HE Shockwave but also a Molten Copper Jet Penetrating and cutting massive holes inside them. Seems unrealistic for the Chimera and Pseudogiant to survive even 5 of them.
Bloodsuckers, Controllers, Flesh and Pigs become much easier after getting new weapons like the SPAS12 and AR416 but for the Chimera and Pseudogiant you absolutely have to use a mod that reduces their HP by about 60%. Yesterday I killed a pseudogiant twice UNMODDED, the first attempt was 210 AK bullets, 240 9mm bullets and about 10 .308 rounds while the second attempt was over 350 LMG rounds. This is counting direct hits, I abused the AI which is very easy to have it stand in a corner "hiding" and it didn't flinch an inch while I rained bullets on it. Burers become extremely easy when you realize they can't steal Skifs pistol because its a quest item, while also doing more damage than the UDP (yes, really) and losing durability super slowly so you just need to keep in handy about 100 9x18mm AP rounds and you're set.
This is the biggest disappointment with the game is the lazy design with the mutants. It feels like they couldn't be bothered to actually make them hard so they just multiplied their hit points by 10. Chimera should take 3 - 4 rockets max. Psuedogiants maybe 5.
Mods are literally necessary at this point... i hated it, that bloodsuckers ate literally my hole ammo, when i had to fight them. I reduced the health of all mutants around 60-80% with a mod. Now the game is enjoyable.
All of them except Chimera and Pseudogiant is very managable or easy with shotgun in veteran if you got the follwoing shotguns, Spas>Saiga>Ram2. Ram 2 is the best Shotgun.
That psi pseudogiant is such a bs. It absurdly tanky and cannot be staggered. And to make things worse, it can throw objects at you so you can't just go to a higher ground. I only managed to kill one because it bugged and stuck, and even then it takes almost all of my ammo reserve in my inventory. If the intended fight is using RPG-7, then yeah forget it since the rocket is rather hard to find (and turns out you need all of the RPG-7 available to kill this one). In the end I just download a mod to reduce the mutant's health, since most of the time you can't just outrun them and there are missions that requires you to kill the though mutant.
Hot tip: If you see a Pseudogiant, run for your life! *Spoiler, when you get to Pripyat (you can get there early by cheesing the game) the Texan (best shotgun in the game) is guarded by 2 Pseudogiants. If you come in the correct direction in crouch mode you can sneak in and out without them noticing.
I still don't understand the people that defend the mutant health in the state its in. I get it if you are a long time stalker fan or whatever but at this point its blantantly making the game more tedious and less fun like cmon bruh
Chimera is the most unbalanced mutant inside the game. One day i had to fight one, needed to reload my save 15 times because i either died or ran out of ammo... In the end i just gave up and just ran away. The Pseudogiant is actually fine for me. Its still too OP but it gives you that feeling anyways. Unlike Chimera. That thing needs a nerf.
i had released the pseudogiant fro mthe cage and the bandits were fighting it. it got stuck in one place and they kept shooting it, mag after mag, all stationary. maybe 5-10 NPCs unloading on it relentlessly. I did not loock at the clock but it took maybe 10 minutes of contiuous fire. in the end I decided to unload my starter pistol on it and THEN the pseudogiant died. i have the suspicion that NPC guns are not only nerfed as hell, they also do less damage to other NPCs than against the player.
When I was first in this area, I released the Pseudogiant and just ran away. After some time I came back there and it was dead, it looks like NPC players finished it off. I also noticed that the Pseudogiant after a minute or 2 can just freeze and continue to stand in one place.
When u drop and RPG near the burer... You pick it up asap :D I wonder, though, how does it interact with the bazooka. I think they can still shoot the guns that were out of ammo, so... 🎉
It bothers me that there's nowhere to buy RPG 7 ammo or 762.x39 because it ultimately limits the amount use you have for the guns and weapons you can fully repair and upgrade glutton and the RPG but what's the point?
It is available in Pripyat. And free loot RPG ammos are only available late game which is meaningless. I hate the typical gamelogic that higher end stuffs should only come at last when the game is almost over. Make it available at least in the early-mid to mid game
I'm sadge AF because GSC could have made RPG similar to Doom's BFG that deletes the battlefield, but didn't. It's rare itself, and ammo is strictly limited to what you can find in the Zone as it's not sold anywhere, so you only have one or two chances to use it. And endgame bosses all have phases/tricks to them so you won't bypass those fights with an OP weapon anyway.
I feel like the chimera isnt overtuned since honestly I killed it faster with a shotgun than this I'm pretty sure the rpg just isnt doing enough damage
Meanwhile me remembering 2 shotting pseudogiants to the head with a combat chaser loaded with basic ass buckshot on master difficulty back in SoC. Also if datamined stats are to be believed the pseudogiant health is 4000 and rpg-7 damage is 1400 (very high actually), but because rpg-7 has very low pen and armor is very high it deals like 30% of its damage, after some math it turns out that rpg-7 only deals 415 damage per rocket and we get 9.5 rockets to kill the thing. Also pen/armor difference is an exponent in that math so having less pen cuts damage incredibly heavily, so much so that base damage is just garbage, armor pen is the only thing that matters. The only thing that expansive ammo is good for is dogs hogs and fleshes since every other kind of mutant has armor and it cuts pen by 70%. And becuase that math is stupid overpenning deals more than base damage (after base damage reduction that ap ammo gives), go figure.
It would be better if mutants went down easier, but there was less ammo lying around to balance it out. you need to carry like 25Kg of bullets around with you
@@haXy_EU yes they can. there is a location like this with RPGs laying around and a Burer. I discovered he used RPG just because the explosions made one of them fall on the ground where I could see it
In contrast to blood suckers, chimeras don't pursue you down the road. You are mostly safe after some corners. I try not to fight them at any costs. Not worth it by any means.
In some cases I was able to simply run away from the bloodsuckers. But there were also cases when the bloodsuckers chased me for about 500 meters, I had to stop and finish them off.😄
Chimera takes 10 fucking RPGs and they give me a dogshit 556 gun in arena with barely enough bullets. I literally killed it with my last bullet, idk if it's scripted or just lucky.
i had 3 bullets left. most of it was spent kiting the chimera around the containers, the last 3 clips were headshot magdumps after the thing got bugged in one place and stopped running.
I fired off a few shots at it,i got it stuck,i used the rest of my ammo ,firing it at its head. Didnt die,but the last shot on my pistol finished it off. They should really consider making the chimera weaker but smarter, instead of forcing me to use my veteran instict to get it stuck
Chimera's might have alot of hp but if you have a rectengular obstacle like a truck or a container and shoot them at the end of the longside of the obstacle, the chimera will always jump in reaction to being shot. So you can just kit him 1 or 2 shots and run to the corner of the opposite side of the chimera.
If you have either the Spas-12 or Saiga shotguns you can usually kill them in one tube. Just run up to them and unload before they have the chance to start throwing stuff
do not use automatics against poltergeists. use a shotgun or the hand cannon revolver. you need heavy burst damage. their hitbox is small and they start moving after a hit.

In previous attempts to kill the chimera, I stood on other containers in the same location and the Chimera jumped on me 😉
But in most cases, yes, they really aren't that smart. People wrote here that they climbed containers in the Arena and the Chimera couldn't do anything.
The jump in time trick was removed in clear sky and call of pripyat, its a shadow of chernobyl exclusive :(
Took out a Chimera with a Saiga 12 in like 5 mags. Seams underpowerd for the RPG
Oh so my Chimera wasnt bugged when it took 250 expansive 9x39mm rounds from fully upgraded Trophy to kill. Oh okay thx GSC.
Thanks for watching 😄
8 fucking rockets for a quimera...come ooooon
I don't know what a burer is but you were definitely shooting at Yoda.
Thanks for watching!😄
In Shadow of Chornobyl, everything, including a Pseudogiant, went down after one RPG shot. The shockwave alone will cause damage to your vital organs, and then there's the explosive itself. Absolutely ridiculous.
Thanks for watching!
One of the broken thing with the RPG-7 in SoC is that the rockets deal maximum damage no matter how far you are from the blast radius.
Usually, the farther you are from an explosion, the less the damage you will receive, but it doesn't apply to SoC RPG
I love how some take the RPG straight to the face and Die
And then you have the Rest like the Chimera and Pseudogiant that take like 10-20 of em to the face.
Also keep in mind the RPG Round with Warhead we fire is a HEAT
So basically not only are they hit with a HE Shockwave but also a Molten Copper Jet Penetrating and cutting massive holes inside them.
Seems unrealistic for the Chimera and Pseudogiant to survive even 5 of them.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching and your comment!🙏
This is the biggest disappointment with the game is the lazy design with the mutants. It feels like they couldn't be bothered to actually make them hard so they just multiplied their hit points by 10. Chimera should take 3 - 4 rockets max. Psuedogiants maybe 5.
I agree, the health balance of Chimera and Pseudogiant needs to be reconsidered
An RPG's shaped charge can punch through over a foot of solid steel. It should be able to one shot every mutant, including a chimera.
Trilogy: RPG is powerful, but heavy.
S2: RPG is heavy.
😄😄
They should have added a minigun firing 5kt n*clear shells, given how bullet spongy they made some of the mutant.
Chimera: The 5 Ds of dodge ball.
Pseudogiant: Balls of Steel.
Other Muntants: *Dead*
Thanks for watching!
Меня удивляет не то что химера выдерживает столько снарядов от РПГ7, а то что при ее прыгучести он не моггла запрыгнуть на верх и снять тебя
@@oligerolsen2533 Ram 2 nah...... Saiga the best fast reload does it all!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching!
Bro the rhino revolver is so OP you should consider finding and repairing it/ buying it.
And I was wondering how close to death the Chimera in the swap was after 2 magazines from the cracker. 😂
I tried to kill pseudogigant with one RPG missle, I was naive.
If Chimera needs 9 RPG hits, then I need more combat training in Elden Ring.
Thanks for watching!🙏
Hot tip: If you see a Pseudogiant, run for your life! *Spoiler, when you get to Pripyat (you can get there early by cheesing the game) the Texan (best shotgun in the game) is guarded by 2 Pseudogiants. If you come in the correct direction in crouch mode you can sneak in and out without them noticing.
Thx for the info!
I can't imagine how much ammo you'd burn through without a rocket launcher.
You will see it in the following videos 😉
I still don't understand the people that defend the mutant health in the state its in. I get it if you are a long time stalker fan or whatever but at this point its blantantly making the game more tedious and less fun like cmon bruh
The first time i came across a chimera I literally thought my game was bugged 😂
Same!
Thanks for watching!
Nice. Sooo.. where do you guys find your rocket ammo??
ля контролёр даже не обернулся когда ему в спину прилетело😂
Химера после 10 ракет . Ну спс что почисал спину😂
Pseudogiant: Ok I give up, shoot as you like, I'm standing still.
RPG will go broke even if you have unlimited ammo
Thanks for watching!😄😄😄
This video should show how much health the RPG has left
Chimera is the most unbalanced mutant inside the game. One day i had to fight one, needed to reload my save 15 times because i either died or ran out of ammo... In the end i just gave up and just ran away. The Pseudogiant is actually fine for me. Its still too OP but it gives you that feeling anyways. Unlike Chimera. That thing needs a nerf.
Yeah, and they nerfed burers so bad. They were arguably the most difficult to kill in the older games.
Thanks for watching!🙏
Meanwhile scripted bloodsucker/chimera from main campain after 9000 rockets: what? Did something touch me?
i had released the pseudogiant fro mthe cage and the bandits were fighting it. it got stuck in one place and they kept shooting it, mag after mag, all stationary. maybe 5-10 NPCs unloading on it relentlessly.
You pick it up asap :D
I wonder, though, how does it interact with the bazooka. I think they can still shoot the guns that were out of ammo, so... 🎉
I get Chimeras are supposed to be scary, and they are, but those things need a bit of a nerf
Agree
can u buy RPG rockets?
It bothers me that there's nowhere to buy RPG 7 ammo or 762.x39 because it ultimately limits the amount use you have for the guns and weapons you can fully repair and upgrade glutton and the RPG but what's the point?
Have purchased rpg warheads multiple times from trader in Pripyat
It is available in Pripyat. And free loot RPG ammos are only available late game which is meaningless. I hate the typical gamelogic that higher end stuffs should only come at last when the game is almost over. Make it available at least in the early-mid to mid game
@@nicklewis6153 really? Dang I've been to him twice and never saw it
@oligerolsen2533 yeah that and locking unique weapons in the endgame.
Thanks for watching!
It must kill any mutant in one shot, otherwise it have no sense to keep so heavy weapon and ammo
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching!🙏
I'm sorry GSC I can only suspend my disbelief so much, THERE IS NO FUCKING WAY ANY MUTANT IS GOING TO TANK 5 PG7V HITS.
Why is there no explosion when fired?
Thanks for watching!
So the RPG rocket went into chimeras but like a A-plug and he didn't felt anything and just continued he's rampage
Thanks for watching!
I feel like the chimera isnt overtuned since honestly I killed it faster with a shotgun than this I'm pretty sure the rpg just isnt doing enough damage
Thanks for the idea for a new video🙏
Thanks for watching!
A thought just occured to me while watching this? where do Burers get their coats and shoes? is there a Burer Primark in the zone or something?
😄😄😄I never thought about it
I feel the only mutants that I really have trouble with is monkey thing and the multiplying cats hate the damn cats
They made the chimeras in this game way too OP and nerfed the burers AF.

The Chimera is actually redicilious....
Thanks for watching!
i remember fighting that pseudogiant before the patches and it took me like 400 ak bullets with no misses to kill it.
Same, bud 👍
I spent about the same amount of ammo on the Chimera in the swamps
@haXy_EU it shows that there was minimum to no playtest at all, unless devs were playing with god mode on XD
It would be better if mutants went down easier, but there was less ammo lying around to balance it out. you need to carry like 25Kg of bullets around with you
Thanks for watching!🙃
RPG-7 has 300-600 mm rolled homogeneous armor penetration. Not one of the mutants had any chance. (In real life)
Thanks for watching!👌
Imagine a room filled with rpgs and one burer...
I've never seen Burer use an RPG. Do you think he can?
@haXy_EU I don't know but I also don't wanna be the one who finds out 🤣
@@haXy_EU yes they can. there is a location like this with RPGs laying around and a Burer.
But there were also cases when the bloodsuckers chased me for about 500 meters, I had to stop and finish them off.😄
This is just dumb. Usually it’s Bethesda with bullet spongy enemies…
Subtle foreshadowing.
Thanks for watching!
Hello... I always use the Spas12 with deformation bullets against mutants
Chimera takes 10 fucking RPGs and they give me a dogshit 556 gun in arena with barely enough bullets. I literally killed it with my last bullet, idk if it's scripted or just lucky.
Oh it's definitely scripted to die when you run out of ammo. The same thing happened to me
i had 3 bullets left. most of it was spent kiting the chimera around the containers, the last 3 clips were headshot magdumps after the thing got bugged in one place and stopped running.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching!
RPG exploding 2 meters away from a player, and he is just getting headache
😄😄😄
I was in the most powerful, upgraded exosuit, and yet my health decreased slightly
The devs really messed up with the tankiness of mutants in this game. a RPG a mf'ing RPG! can't 1 shot basic stuff.
Thanks for watching!🙏
They were the cheapest rockets isn't it? :D
In my reading, RPG 7 and Gauss MUST one-shot all threats. Otherwise pointless to carry that.
Not in one shot, but I would like it to be much faster.
In one shot it would be too easy.
i did not know you could kill poltergeists i always just run theyre annoying
If you have either the Spas-12 or Saiga shotguns you can usually kill them in one tube. Just run up to them and unload before they have the chance to start throwing stuff
@@topside1981 me crying in 15 magazines of 7,62x39 i fricking hate em so much and i still have not found the franky ;(
do not use automatics against poltergeists. use a shotgun or the hand cannon revolver. you need heavy burst damage. their hitbox is small and they start moving after a hit.
@@clausroquefort9545 sadly have not come across any of the good ones.

I think Rpg vs pseudogiant, chimera and controller it’s a big cringe balance.
You can loot mutants now ? Or is it a mod ?
You can only take a piece of a mutant with mods.
In this video you saw a special collar that can be taken from the corpses of some mutants, in general this is part of one of the missions in the game.
Heavy machine gun next, please.
