You’ve asked the right person about this issue, because in the outside world, there are rarely any real answers. His father Xi Zhongxun was indeed an important founding member of the Communist Party of China. After the new government was established in 1949, he became a cabinet member who was highly valued by Chairman Mao and Zhou Enlai. In 1968, Chairman Mao proposed the "Down to the Countryside" movement. This meant that educated youth should go to the mountains and rural areas, to live and work with farmers for a period of time, so they wouldn’t become disconnected from the people. Chairman Mao was a person with very idealistic feelings; he didn’t want members of his party to become detached from the masses. Imagine Trump’s son-he would never understand that the poorest people in rural Kentucky can’t survive, and even if he knew, he wouldn’t be able to empathize. Mao wanted party members to go to the people and become part of them. Xi Jinping was one of the youth who went to the countryside during this period, although at first, he didn’t want to go. He had grown up in a very privileged environment in the city. Even though in 1962, his father was framed and removed from power, his father’s old colleagues still protected him, so his life remained good. However, in 1969,at the age of 16, Xi responded to the call and went to a rural area more than a thousand kilometers away from Beijing, where he lived and worked for seven years. Xi Jinping applied to join the Communist Party multiple times but failed, because at that time, it was already very difficult to join, and one needed someone to vouch for them. But due to his father’s political problems, no one dared to vouch for him. However, Xi's efforts were eventually recognized.
2, In 1975, Xi Jinping ended his work in the countryside and entered Tsinghua University to study, which is the top 1 school in China. In 1978, the Cultural Revolution officially ended, and the reform and opening-up began. Deng Xiaoping became the core leader of CPC, and he subsequently led a reform that seemed almost impossible at that time. That is, opening the country’s doors, accepting foreign capital, and developing a new model of socialism. Xi’s father was also reinstated at that time(1978), and he was later appointed governor of Guangdong Province, becoming a vanguard of this reform. After graduating, Xi joined the government and started as an assistant in the central government. Later, in 1982, he served in a county, and over the next thirty years, he was gradually promoted, eventually returning to Beijing in 2012, where he became the core of the highest authority. In fact, there is so much to say about the things President Xi has done over the years that it would take ten thousand words to describe, and it could easily fill a one-million-word book. Perhaps in the future, someone will come along to write this, but as an ordinary person, I could never finish it. What I can see is that over the past decade or so,he has led a new revolution,re-shaping the Party through powerful anti-corruption measures. He has also led poverty alleviation efforts in rural areas and rural healthcare reform. Social atmosphere and life have changed dramatically in these past few decades.
