Dorothy Love Coates was one of THE greatest musical evangelists that has lived. She was a true giant.

Awesome interview. She looks great and full of energy at 80. Black truly don’t crack lol. I remember the Harmonettes coming to my home church in the late sixties, Dorothy closed with You’ve Been Good To Me and to the church up.

I first discovered this wonderful lady on a song on the voices of the civil rights movement album when I was listening to a gospel radio station called 1190 KDYA the light. The song that I heard that moved me was a city called heaven. i’m proud to say that I own that CD. I bought it back in 2007. All I have to say is, she has an extremely wonderful voice.
