This was amazing Adam. I'm looking to do this in reverse though for live events where I can't send timecode from Reaper over cables to each camera. Can you make another version of this explaining how to import timecode into reaper? Would I just use one of my synced time code generatora as an input track on the session and convert it afterwards? Any help would be great.. I'm about to buy a 6pack of Deity's Timecode product but want to figure this out first to make sure I'm buying what I need.
Great tutorial! One question, how do you export your audio in Reaper? Do you put the time code in one channel (say right channel) and then the rest (dialogue for example) on the left?
I just decided to look up time code after getting familiar with an advanced video editing program for the first time (Resolve), and I’m only answering because no one else has already, but if I’m following all this correctly, then yes, you’d probably have to do something like that. And if your soundtrack is stereo it would be pretty simple to just line the final one up with the one with the timecode embedded. Or maybe there’s an easier way to do it.
Cameras.... I'm missing 3 letters. I.e. got the face for VO not video. Re the rowing Ref. well done resisting the obvious gag about getting your cox out to shout 😁
Dude! This is gold! Does the reaper audio file include the meta data in it?
I really didn’t expect to see Browne in a random video about timecode but hey here we are! Haha.
Haha yeah he gets around! Thanks for the shout Drew :)
This video is exactly what I needed! Thanks a ton!

Brilliant, thanks a lot!
最近REAPERを使い始めました。RENDERで書き出したWAVファイルに同期LTCトラックのTCが反映されません。RENDERの設定が問題なのでしょうか。
how to work around omf with reaper ?
Do you think you'll try hooking your cameras up with timecode?
Once I get a camera yes! Sadly I just use my phone or maybe, Happily I just use my phone?
How did you render audio with TC from reaper?
Include the broadcast wave chunk “BWF”, it includes the timecode start as part of the file
@@adamsteelproducer did you activate master send on TC channel before rendering?
I would do that, I’ve never needed to because I send it out live in real time, but that’s probably what you’d do to get a file
@@adamsteelproducer thanks!
Split time time code 🤔
If only I had a camera and a photogenic face, I could open the next big ASMR channel. Code with Mage - guaranteed sleep in 5 minutes. 😁
