Seen some DIY videos which have permanent bolted mounts which would be a ball ache and a bit dangerous if you crashed and landed on top of head. The mount is a fully customized one that we built in my dads company's workshop, it attaches to the standard gopro sticky-pad / camera mount plate so that it will snap-off in a bad crash. its based on an idea that's already out there for sale on the web, I forget the company.. I just didn't fancy paying the 200 odd euros :)

What is a type of binding they use to mount GoPro on their helmets? I thought it's static, but it rotates around a helmet...
