It's a bit refreshing to see the use of hand tools vs power tools. Gives a great perspective on how most of things can be achieved with cheaper alternatives.
I usually hate pallet wood projects but this was great! Thanks for the video!
Love the idea of the car jack for separating the slats and the boot and coat racks look great!
It works well
Really enjoyed watching this Matt. Great idea using a common material.
A nice addition to the Badger Hole
Thank you
Like the pallet separation technique. I'll definitely give it a try. Many thanks.
I really like your boot rack design. Nice job.
Thank you
A lovely pallet wood project. I make almost everything out of pallet wood because it's free and I'm tight. 👍🏻 😀
I do like free materials
Never seen the jack method. I got a mate to make a specific tool for it but it's always great to see new approaches to problems. 👍🏻
It works well
Great job. Thanks for sharing. I need to try that car jack method for breaking down a pallet.
Thank you
Great use of the jack for separating pallets. Certainly makes the job easier!
Thank you. It seems to work well
I use a Sawzall and cut the nails on pallets
I enjoyed the pace of the video, thorough enough to go everything but fast enough not to be boring.
Thank you
Great job thanks Matt 🍺🍺👍👍
Thank you
Great job, Matt. Thanks for sharing this one with us.
Thank you
Excellent job! Looks terrific and its functional, I like the way the boots fit vertically saving extra space, thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you very much
Really beautiful work, Matt! 😃
Black pieces, brass screws and the color of the wood... Amazing!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you very much
👏
Brilliant Matt as always. My dear old carpenter-joiner Dad would say "an elegant sufficiency !!" Onya Matt !!
Thank you
Well, not really my cup of tea (pallet stuff) however, very nicely presented and interesting, and soothing to watch, many thanks
That is a different design book/shoe rack that I normally see. Takes up less room. Looks nice.
Thank you
Goes well with the door next to it, nicely done :)
Thank you
Very nice job. This turned out very well there. Love this coustom tool you made. Hopefully you get great use out of it for many years to come my friend. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Keep making. God bless.
Hi Matt, that was a couple of verh good and quick projects, and they suit the area you have placed them.
Thank you Les
Another excellent job well done. With the number of shoes my partner has, I think I'd need three pallets.
Haha. I have not filled my rack
Have you done a video about altering the jack or could you tell me what adjustments you made. Would be very useful. Thanks
I have not. It was only taking out one bar
Nice built Matt !
Thank you
Try some wax candle on the sides of your saw it will glide through your timber without squeaking, and make it easier too.
Practical and looks great, especially as they’re made out of a load of rubbish. 👍
Thank you
some nifty work & design elements. would never have 5hought trolley jack for pallets!
Thank you. It works well
Quite like how that turned out. Some ideas for the gaff I think.
Thank you
Great project Matt, I don't believe you actually left the house though.... 🙂
Haha I get out once a year
Looking good! Do you think with the price of timber and sheet goods at the moment we are going to see a renaissance of pallet wood and rustic aesthetic projects?
Yes maybe. Can’t afford normal prices
I know that some people will look at this and say, “what the hell is he using that Dirty old pallet for”?
With the price of wood and the finished result, you have to say, “why wouldn’t he”? Top job 👍🏾
Thank you
Innovative rustic matching pieces here. Matt, I didn’t quite understand the brass ferrules though. Are these just for decoration?
They stop the screws pulling through the wood
I know a guy, Keith brown, he has some hat stands going....if you're interested 😉 I think they're oak though 🤔
Too expensive for me
I find the lack of grunting and swearing while you disassemble the pallet disturbing.
He worked smarter not harder which is certainly a foreign concept to me.
@@jscook54 who knows what it could lead to, I for one oppose it. More grunting and swearing please, there’s kids that watch this!
