Yeah its sucks smashing ur saw ive been lucky n only bent my bars up but ive done samething cuttin dead ash for firewood.. But it happens when u get out of practice... i broke my leg in April so im just now getting back into the groove of hand cuttin it could have killed me but i aint stoppin doin what i love... Its better to manage ur property then let the trees die out n destroy the yrs comin up by knock tops out or leaning on them makin grow curved instead up straight up.. Wades is a great hand cuttin to watch for hardwoods he knows alot
Wade, between you and all of the other logger's out there, you always tell people to "NOT CUT THE HINGE WOOD"!!! Puddin got very lucky at the least, I figured that the bar would've been bent!
Well damn, that was a little more exciting than my day at work Wade. I like how you just kept doing your thing got the saw out and cleaned up and back to the job. I think I probably would have stopped and had a smoke break first. Then went and changed my pants.
Done the exact same thing with my Husqvarna about 6 years ago. Had just put a new bar on it and it got mashed and bent the bar. Still using it to this day. I will put a picture of it on the Facebook page.
Hey Wade there's a yard right on the arkansas missouri line that buys hickory for 55 a ton. They throw it on flatbeds and send it down to Texas for smoker chips probably a little far of a haul for y'all though lol
1st: glad you're safe. 2nd: I've done it to and absolutely crushed a 372. Get to comfortable and go to fast and blast through the holding wood. I've been getting into the habit of treating every tree with the same respect and healthy fear I showed as a beginner. Keep ripping!
Glad to see your okay wade, great vid! Watching little southern brothers nd even he was stressing safety, always be away of surroundings! Nd always looking up glad your safe brother
Totally understand how you feel when the tree your cutting won’t let go of your saw, I had a 056 get stuck in the butt log and the tree fell, the butt went about 5’ off the ground with my saw in it. When it came back down stuck the motor and all about 6” in the ground. 😂. Question. I used to cut my butt logs a little lower to the ground. Is there a reason you cut them a little higher off the ground?
Glad to see that there were no fatalities. They should pay you for that tag line! “I run Husqvarna because I’m me!” Stay safe, wishing you and your family the best.
Wade you have angels watching over you and puddin !! Good lord Tater... please be more careful out there. There’s people who need you to come home alive. Take care brother.
Wade, I'm 66 years old with bad knees and have a tree that,s 25 fee5 5qpp thats leaning over in the corner of my yard into 2 of my neighbours yards. I need a new fence and the contractor who came out told me the tree has to go, I was thinking of getting my 6 foot tsll ladder out and standing on the top with one foot on the fence and cutting off dome of the branchs to bring it down but maybe I should get the wife up their with my chain saw as her knee's are in better shape. Whats your opion b?
I had a couple of near misses like that, one was in deep snow so that saved it. I see husky is building a 118cc saw. But that might be to heavy for you.
Oh shit , just glad you got out of the way. Can always replace a saw . Puddin is a tough ole saw. Nice to see alittle mill in this vidja. Have a good one
I did that almost 40 years ago now to the almost new Husky I had and when that tree started to spin and you backed away I could feel your pain leaving Puddin behind . It sucks but it's just a saw , you're Ok that's the main thing .
Man you came out good considering! My buddy had a similar thing happen on a poplar quite a bit larger than this one, saw was a 8 month old still 441, it mashed it completely into the ground! Nothing left intact but the cylinder! It happens sometimes!!
Well pudding survived whew .but a question I've been so confused about .do you own the mill ? Or do you do all the fixings there excetra? cause the way ya talk about it is like ya own it pretty much .and then your out in the sticks offing and stuff just a lil confused .but as allways great vid godbless and stay safe..
Damn that was a code brown moment for sure . At least you are ok and puddin still runs . Those situations make a guys mind slow down but his body moves quick . Keep up the good work and stay safe!
Excellent video your absolutely right about the Husqvarna chain saws they take a liking and keep on tiking . I was cutting a big spruce off of the road edge above a old fence and the wind came up a pinched my 371 Husqvarna so I figured I would push it over with the John Deere skidder when I got in the ditch I didn't realize that the snow was so deep and the skidder was spinning so I gave it some throttle and when it got traction I hit the tree and it sheared off and laid down the full stem on the saw I thought it was history but I got the tree off it with the skidder and dug out the snow and wood chunks and it fired right up again it was about a 20 inch diameter spruce tree with solid limbs they are heavy trees
Wade a saw can be replaced but people can't glad you're Okay. I hate cutting Hickory for firewood. You can tell them are your boys 😂😂😂😂 Take care and have a blessed week.
I've done that a few times. $hit happens. I bought a new 395 one time and 3rd tree I cut it twisted on the stump, spit the saw out and landed on it. Broke the handle and one mount. Husky saws are tough!!
Greetings from No VT - If that had been me I would have been picking up pieces in a grocery bag for the rest of the morning - Tater, you live a charmed life!! Just another example of why Husky's rule!
I'll tell ya you got lucky on that saw. And from my little experience running a saw its sounds a little hungry to me . Sound like you got those drags filed down just a touch to much .. but what do I know
I seen a new guy set a saw on the track of a skid steer and walk away. The saw didn't get off as easy as yours did. You couldn't even tell it was a saw
I saw a paper mill wood yard operator use a brand new Husky 268 to cut big slabs of hardwood bark that was hanging up the bark conveyor beside the debarker. He set the saw down on the belt turned and restarted the belt not thinking, sending it into the bark hog and on to the boiler! It hadn’t even burned one tank of gas! When I raked the ashes later in the shift I found the crank and some of the bar.
I had a foreman who always used to yell at me for leaving doors to the cab open. Something something dust something something. So now I run with doors open just out of spite these days. Dont mind cleaning windows every now and then lol
Went to help my brother in law clear a building lot and dropped a tree on our minivan a few weeks before we were supposed to go on vacation. You survived that’s all that matters, there’s always a dumbass out there like me that’s done worse !
nice intro.good you do an `over commentary` so you can tells what`s what, and how and why it happened, keep us informed with the dates to, yet again buddie enjoyed `the show`
Was to see puddin squished in there but certainly could have been worse. Important thing is you came out of it unharmed. Glad to see you escaped unscathed, at the end of the day you got to go home and that's what matters most 👍
If I didn't know better I would think someone was trying to blame the accident on Roger. When I want a new saw I always drop a tree on the old one. Lol
One thing about logger Wade he is honest
Only real ppl show their mistakes remember that guys we r lucky to see this.. Glad ur ok
This would tick me off, but Puddin, will b ok
I brought some today
Yeah its sucks smashing ur saw ive been lucky n only bent my bars up but ive done samething cuttin dead ash for firewood.. Remember you can buy a new saw. But can’t buy a new Logger Wade! Stay safe.
Haven’t done that YET. She took that like a champ. I’m glad she’s still running. Be kind be safe and have a day
Wade, between you and all of the other logger's out there, you always tell people to "NOT CUT THE HINGE WOOD"!!! Puddin got very lucky at the least, I figured that the bar would've been bent!
Puddins like " I ain't givin up yet" when you started her.
"That's why I run Husqvarna because I'm Me". Ha Ha Ha
Hard to watch that saw get smashed but a Husky is like a timex, takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Good vid!!!!!!
Please tell me that this was before you rebuilt puddin, you are ok physically which is the most important part, machines can be fixed or replaced
Another vidja proving your hooman logger guy . Great vidja ,hope puddin gets well soon .
Pudding almost became jello, we gonna have to take up a gofundme to get you a new saw
Made some cuss turds too. Lol
Huskys are the best!! And apparently the toughest😂😂 glad you and puddin are safe wade
Long time subscriber Wade. Like to meet you. Certified Logging Professional in Maine. Hand cut every day. Love your video’s.
Well damn, that was a little more exciting than my day at work Wade. I like how you just kept doing your thing got the saw out and cleaned up and back to the job. I think I probably would have stopped and had a smoke break first. Then went and changed my pants.
How many saws can you drop a tree on and pick back up and use the rest of the day? That’s wild
Hey! I know someone else that done did that before!!🤔🤔🤣🤣
Poor old Puddin glad she came out of it ok! Love the honest content here Wade
If puddin could talk. Lol.
The new intro is fantastic!
Done the exact same thing with my Husqvarna about 6 years ago. Had just put a new bar on it and it got mashed and bent the bar. Still using it to this day. I will put a picture of it on the Facebook page.

Hey Wade 👋, Puddin's pretty tuff. I'm glad you weren't hurt.
You do something long enough stuff is going to happen. At least YOU were ok
poor puddins
Wade you have angels watching over you and puddin !! Good lord Tater... please be more careful out there. There’s people who need you to come home alive. Take care brother.
Howdy Wade, OH NO Puddin is going back to concussion protocol once again.... Have A Day! ;~)
Glad your Husky is ok! I thought for sure it was done😦
I love the ending of your videos with your boys👍
Good video Wade👍

Love my Husqvarna's but they can be replaced! Bad things happen when you rush! Stay safe man!

Wade have you ever cut elm. It’s hard also just about like hickory
in all honesty its better the saw got it than you, puddin has taken a beating over the time that you have had it.
Man you came out good considering! My buddy had a similar thing happen on a poplar quite a bit larger than this one, saw was a 8 month old still 441, it mashed it completely into the ground! Nothing left intact but the cylinder! It happens sometimes!!
Now that's a Puddin' pop!
Well pudding survived whew .but a question I've been so confused about .do you own the mill ? Wade, I thought she was a gonner, I think puddin has 9 lives!!
Damn that was a code brown moment for sure . At least you are ok and puddin still runs . Those situations make a guys mind slow down but his body moves quick . Keep up the good work and stay safe!
Glad to see Puddin came out with only a few more scars.!
Husqvarna people need to get up you, best dang husqvarna commercial yet 👍✝️
wade have you ever considered using a double sided saw blade doubling your output
Glad your okay, ya got lucky on that one wade good job and great video as always
Is logger wade contracted out to cut wood for the sawmill? Or Logger wade owns the sawmill?
Logger wade is a peon he just works for the sawmill doing what ever needs done to help out
That was fun thx for the yard tour, great looking kids!😁

She will never die on you Wade you got a good running husky there
Glad you're ok. Keep the chips flying
Guess it is good to leave some hinge wood? tks for the video..
Well mate you definitely have kept your composure a lot better than I think i could've 😁👍👍
Greetings from No VT - If that had been me I would have been picking up pieces in a grocery bag for the rest of the morning - Tater, you live a charmed life!! Just another example of why Husky's rule!
Thanks buddy
I can't believe that saw didn't get hurt worse. I thought that thing was dead for sure. Amazing!
Glad you are ok things happen
Man that’s never fun. Saws can be replaced if needed you cant. Seemed like the husky took the crunch pretty well.
I'll tell ya you got lucky on that saw. And from my little experience running a saw its sounds a little hungry to me . Sound like you got those drags filed down just a touch to much .. but what do I know
A moment of silence for Puddin... 😬
You held your tongue and composure better than me and %95 of people would have when you break something you care that much about
I seen a new guy set a saw on the track of a skid steer and walk away. The saw didn't get off as easy as yours did. You couldn't even tell it was a saw
That tree judie-chopped ol puddin
Puddins got to be the toughest saw around
I always love the end of the videos with you n your kids.
The saw gods are telling you it's time to get a stihl.lol
Why do you guys use small hatchets instead of a falling axe
Wade hope y'all have a great week and stay safe 👍
Now if that ain't rock solid advertisment, I don't know what is!
Glad to see you scooted away with all your limbs and clean britches.
Been there, done that. It happens. And there's nothing like a good piece of hickory
I saw a paper mill wood yard operator use a brand new Husky 268 to cut big slabs of hardwood bark that was hanging up the bark conveyor beside the debarker. Wade how much is red oak going for ? Just the logs ?
Does he still do the live feeds on sunday?

Poor puddin, you're rough on that old girl. No wonder she's not running right. Can't believe that saw is not in pieces. Stay safe wade.
Haha she's a keeper
Did this happen after puddin overhaul?
I did the same thing once to my 395 but the Husqvarnas are tough and it just broke the top cover and a few fans off The Jug👍👍
My stomach just knotted when I saw this... did it once to my 661 and the log won that match!
Puddin is really hungry eating those trees
Awesome testament to the legendary 395!!!
Really glad you are ok!! Really sorry about puddin
Gonna buy you a two man crosscut, you don’t need to be alone! - lol
Lpl
WOW Tater, that could have been so much worse mate. Glad no one was hurt
Nothing a little duct tape can't fix.
Old Cotton Top gives chain saw classes. 😜
You only swore once !I would still be cursing.
Glad you wasn’t hurt that saw can be replaced you can’t take care buddy
Poor Puddin need the casualty dept for sure Wade.
How old are the first trees you cut down?
Glad it wasn't as bad as the intro lead me to believe.
Puddin is like a cat got 9 lives
Puddn' is one tough cookie:):)
Lol
Glad I'm not the only one that can cut through my hinge wood 🤦♂️
Thanks for showing the good with the bad ! But you didn’t tell what you did wrong!
Poor puddin. At least she ran after that.
If you had a 55V John Deere Chainsaw !! You'd be like WTF !!
