The lesson itself is an incredibly useful refresher, but just want to take a moment to thank you for being so personable. Your occasional tangents about glare on your glasses, papers being everywhere, etc. always make me laugh and they inject a very "human" element into the lessons. Hope you never change, this separates you from most of the other materials out there!
I'm french and I find your french's accent very good 😀
Faustine Gonzales Best compliment EVER :-) Merci 💚
I have an exam coming up, and this really helped me! Merci beaucoup!

I really need a French-English grammar book that has a comparison between English and French like this. Did you make your own book?
Wonderful brief lesson. Merci!

Merci, Jennifer!
Hi there, I have a couple questions for you; Suppose someone asked you a question like, "Would you like to hear a story?" and you wanted to respond, "Yes, I would". How would you translate that? Because the word "would" isn't followed by another verb. Similarly, what if someone told you, "We aren't going to make the ferry on time" and you wanted to disagree and respond "yes we will", how would you say that? Because "will" isn't followed by another verb, it's just implied what you are talking about. Thanks in advance for the help : )
Hi Marianne, That's a great question! To respond, "Yes, I would" you still need to use the verb (aimer, for example) because there's not a simple word for "would". You could say, "Oui, j'aimerais ça". Your next question is similar. To respond, "Yes, we will" you could simply reply "Si!!". Otherwise, you would have to add a verb, "Si, on y arrivera!"
@ Thank you for your reply, that's very helpful! I suppose that goes for other short phrases too such as "I want to", "I wouldn't", "I won't", etc ? Like if my mom told me "Don't forget you have a dentist's appointment today" and I wanted to assure her and say "I won't", would I have to say something like "Je n'oublierai pas"? And if my friends asked me, "Are you going to the frisbee tournament this weekend" and I wanted to respond "I want to, but I'm not sure if I can" would I say "Je veux aller, mais je ne suis pas certaine si je peux"?
I truly loved this episode ))) Thanks
Merci beaucoup, Nelly!
Salute to you
