The first time I came into contact with buckwheat was in Belarus. Honestly, I didn't know what that was. I saw it on the shelf in the store here in Berlin, but I couldn't imagine anything about it. My wife Nina had prepared it for our son Andrej with a little milk. My skepticism was overcome when I tried it and liked it. I would have prepared the meatballs in the pan because I would have made a sauce from the drippings and black beer stock.

Really beautiful videos. I know this life very well - my daughter and ex-wife live in Yaroslavl. These days I live in Moscow, but I dream again of getting a house in the countryside somewhere in the north of Russia.
Don't have to be in a small village, I have lived in big cities around the world (London, NYC, Sydney, Toronto etc) and have been very lonely. Some of the best friendliest people I have ever met were in smallish towns in Russia/Siberia, towns like Kemerovo!!
