What a tragic, haunting ending. Poor Heidi. I thought Sheri did amazing in this film. Wasn't expecting this ending to be so sad either. The music, the witches overjoyed to see her as their demonic version of the Virgin Mary, and knowing Heidi is lost forever. Her friends didn't stand a chance in helping her. Evil won. It was winning the entire time. Heidi gave birth to the devil's child and the world is most likely doomed. Very underrated movie. So many people hate this movie but I think it's great and one of Rob's best. This and Devil's Rejects.
That's the only way evil can win...is in the movies. They did the same thing in the Omen and it's sequels, they make the good weak and helpless and the evil ones strong and victorious.
ahhh I still love this!!!!!....I don't care what anyone says...I adore this movie. this song is beautiful....a great ending to such a tragic story. I love rob and shari, I really think they nailed this one. ^^
I was going to make a separate comment, but you said it..just so profoundly good...what I wouldn't do to have a chance to tell Rob how much I love, ADORE, this movie, and man oh man, is there anything more sad when they cut to flashback of Heidi playing with Troy...
and the SONG...I thought I was so knowledgeable in music, and I had missed this classic treasure, the entire album...music that comes from fuckin' space...right into the head
When it shows her happy and playing with Troy, the movie becomes a horror tragedy. She didn't even understand what was happening to her. She had no chance to escape or even figure out what was going on. Loved this movie and never understood the hate it gets.
@@lockandloadlikehell I liked it. Granted I had to watch it twice to really figure everything out but I did like it. I would agree that the script needed to be worked out a little better but overall I like this one.
@@usafairmanlord My favorite Rob Zombie film is The Devil's Rejects, but I believe The Lords of Salem is his best. There's some masterful tension. . . and that ending. Just beautiful.
This is freaking great!!!! I love to see the looks of joyous ecstasy and adoration on the faces of the witches as they look up to see the "poor girl" become unholy queen! That very moment is some how one of my favorite moments in any movie! I think that this and The VVitch will be the official movies of my next sleep over! :). That should make for pleasant dreams!!! With that being said, I'm off to live deliciously!!!
im a pretty jaded asshole and i watched this rob zombie film intending to just mock it but the end of this movie was really memorable in a not great way and gotta give him respect for it. this song will always bring back this scene for me.
When I first heard this song, I imagined a scene in my head like this. I just found this video yesterday and i'm totally stricken by the resemblance of this scene to what i've imagined
The music makes this scene kinda sad. The witches lured Heidi into their trap and they got what they wanted. Poor Heidi. She didn't even understand what was happening to her. Didn't even get a chance to try to figure it out.
axeman 36 she's depicted as the virgin mary at the end of the film, but instead of celestial she has white eyes and is standing on a pile of bodies. So she's like the anti virgin mary, giving birth to the antichrist instead of baby jesus. She's fulfilled the purpose of the witches and that's why they're staring up at her as if they worship her. There's alot of brilliant subversive religious imagery in this film.
I always thought that Sheri needed to eat a sandwich in this movie. She was way too skinny!! She looked perfect in The Devil's Rejects and House of 1,000 Corpses. Maybe it was the dreadlocks. I just wasn't feeling them on her.
She was supposed to be skinny. Her character was a recovering heroin addict who relapsed later in the movie. It worked perfectly for what Rob was trying to portray

agreed such a great film.

@@xemnas9098 Ever hear of Charles Manson, and how he and his "family" avoided the gashouse at San Quentin?
@@WhiteCamry But they won't escape The Final Judgment.
Hereditary literally has the same ending, down to the strangely uplifting music choices.
This movie is really similar to rosemary baby and black sunday 1960
Some say the lair of the white worm
Poor dog, he or she won't be seeing Heidi in heaven anytime soon.

@@johnboslet2400 Completely agree. It's really sad to know evil won and Heidi is lost forever. Wasn't expecting the ending to be so emotional.

Because it went from great to ridiculous halfway through
