@@wanderlustingwithjoe yeah Joe. Checked out your boat video in Bangkok (excellent). I'll be six weeks or so between October and December from Bangkok, Phitsanulok, Chiangs Mai and Rai and over the Mekong into Laos, ending up in Vientiane, back to Bangers, Hua Hin, trains to Chumphon then Surat Thani, staying three or four nights in each place. Krabi town for five nights then Koh Lanta for a week, flying back to Bangkok for a few nights and back to Blighty. This will be an exploratory trip. I'll consider going back to the Chumphon area to explore another time, thanks to you.
My wife and I love Chumphon. I'm an American and Thai is my second language. You are correct when you say Chumphon is an authentic Thai province. I like it so much here my wife and I bought land and are in the process of building a house near Thung Wua Laen Beach.
