I love this and miss living in Hawaii lived in the islands for 10 years came back to the mainland u.s. to North Carolina family were not expected to live long my father died so now moved to flagstaff Arizona wish I could go back to hawaii it’s awesome there beautiful people and a beautiful language and songs it truly is so beautiful

Oh no! His heart inspired me to continue in hula as healing because I started out learning culture in culturally based treatment! I currently hold ho'opa'a rank and will be kumu in 2020.. damn i wanted to meet him and share hearts. Aw. Rest in love Jay Jay! I pray to meet u on the other side. Not at all. Thirteen years before, I didn't know anything about Hula. But, My life had just changed when my wife showed me this Video in 1998 Autumn. And then I've tried to meet them by myself to Big Island 1999 June. And I had many stories , But I've hard to write them down everything. ＾＾；
do the chants always have the same melody? all the videos i have seen so far sound like the have the same kind of melody for the chant at the beginning...
