I always keep a can of Electronics duster on my work bench to clean off all the upgrade parts proor to installation, youll be surprised how much metal shavings are still in the packaging.
Unlucky you have broken parts with the stock motor setup. The first thing I did is upgrade mine to a brushless setup and its been doing great so far and I have put it through some pretty rough bashing and speed runs. The brushless setup I am running hit 57mph so far with stock gearing!😀
@@Shreddylife yeah I think I just got that one car that decided to be problematic. Horizon was cool enough to warranty out the parts, so I wasn’t super upset. What setup brushes setup are you running in your grom? I’m still debating whether to go brushless.
@@Papa_Shorty I went with a QuicRun 16BL30 esc with a Reedy 280-SL4 4500kV motor on 3S with a RC4GS radio / R6FG receiver combo. It was really worth upgrading the radio. The handling is really nice with the Gyro. I also installed a 28,000rpm fan because the motor was getting a bit hot on 3S
@@Shreddylife I was looking into the QuicRun. They seem to be the best working for the Groms. I’m still on the fence on what motor I want. I’m more interested in running it on a track rather than speed running.
@@Papa_Shorty The Quicrun esc is great for the price. Look up the XTEAM 2435 4500kv, its a good little motor for $23. I would really think about installing a Radio / receiver with a Gyro too its really worth it.
nice upgrades, little mojave is awesome 👌 👍👍😀
@@rcplaytime thanks, glad you liked it. Hoping to get out to the track this week to get some footage.

@@NoodlesNJ1 that’s some great advice. Good looking out for. Thanks

@@Shreddylife I’ll check out the motor, thanks. As far as a radio goes, I have one ready to go in that’s gyro equipped
