  • Thank you so much to everyone who attended our first-ever HCM screening camp for cats! Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), if left unchecked, can lead to potentially fatal consequences. Thank you to all the wonderful, vigilant cat parents who entrusted their lovely little ones to our team. We're looking forward to seeing many of you again next year for your annual screening visits!
For those who missed it or couldn't get an appointment due to our HCM screening slots being full, we plan on hosting another HCM camp again very soon! If you have already registered, please keep an eye on your email inbox for updates. If you haven't registered yet but would like to bring your cat to our next screening camp, please fill in our form (www.tinyurl.com/hcmcamp) and our team will reach out soon.
🐶 We will also be holding dedicated cardiac screening camps for dogs this year. Please stay tuned -- many updates to come soon!

Sir is it true that now ( after discovery of taurine def. )the Incidents of Dilated Cardiomyopathies 🫀 are more in Dogs 🐕 than the cats 🐱

Hi Divyansh, thank you for your comment. Yes - taurine deficiency was a major cause of feline DCM in the past, but now with all food companies supplementing it in their diets, the incidence is very low. We now only see it in cats that are on a home cooked / novel protein / raw or vegetarian diet. In contrast, it is far more common for dogs to get DCM either hereditary or a phenotype. An important thing to note is that end stage HCM can look like DCM. Hope this helps!
