I'm guessing closing pivot tracks makes the next season's planting go smoother. That old Chevy is awesome, I'm guessing 48, 9, or 50, my Brother-in-law had a 49, all tubbed out with a big block, it was mean. Looking across that field was so relaxing and serene feeling. I found it amazing to see the packer at the back of the implement. It reminded me of my Uncle Emerson's invention, "The Flexi-Coil Land Packer". It was invented because my Uncle Emerson was watching his Son, Terry, roll a car spring around in the sand. It left neat marks in the sand. Uncle Emerson filed that in his memory and a few years later, he fabricated his first packer. (It was likely around 1948 or so.) My father Harvey helped his cousin Emerson make the first packer rolling machine at Harvey's Machine Shop in Saskatoon. (The University of Saskatchewan College of Engineering told the farm boys that 1.25 inch cold rolled steel could not be bent into a coil. They were told that the bar had to be heated to redness so it could be bent.) The farm boys went ahead and made their packer rolling machine. The Flexi-Coil Packer design was patented. The patent ran out about 50 years ago. Flexi-Coil was sold to New Holland around 1999 or so. (John Deere almost bought the company around the same time.) Flexi-Coil manufactured air seeders and cultivators when they were sold to New Holland. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the packer behind the implement you were pulling to level out the ruts. It was a WOW moment. By the way, in 1990, Uncle Emerson was inducted into the Saskatchewan Agricultural Hall of Fame. That was a nice tribute. My father never did become part of the company Flexi-Coil. (He stayed with his machine shop and he later taught at a Saskatchewan trade school.)
Take it easy on all those process foods. You're young so can prevent future health issues. Natural snacks, fruit and such is best. Take it easy on them energy drinks too, they are heart attacks waiting to happen. Tea is my suggestion.
I am 69 and I have so many food allergies from all the crap I ate and drank back when I was a kid. My older sister is 71 and she touches anything with monosodium glutamate in it! Her throat swelled shut almost to the point of suffocation, and she gets hives all over body!.!.!. You are so correct on staying away from the processed foods. Antibiotics are another thing that did a job on my family's immune systems.

It's "birds and bees" stuff. The buck and the yote are attracted to the doe. She's probably in heat for him to be dogging her in the wide open, middle of the day. Those old bucks kinda lose their minds at that time. I'm not saying any more! :) Cool getaway vehicle! Love those old Chevy 5 windows!

I don't know where you're at in your search for a new truck, but make sure you get one with heated and ventilated seats and a heated steering wheel. And make sure they turn on when you use the remote start. It's so nice getting into a heated truck on a really cold morning.
Love the truck, not sure what it did for you but watch pivot track closing helped me get to sleep, shame I'd just had breakfast lol - its really interesting seeing all the different aspects of farming :-)
Nice video Laura. You don't need make up for Thanksgiving. The turkey don't care what you look like. LOL I love that truck. Is that a 1954 Chevrolet truck? My father had one exactly like it. He would take me fishing in it. Had a metal foot switch on the floor board for the starter and the standard gear shift on the stearing colmn. Hope you had a Happy one with Grant and Family. that Green truck is a desired collectors item with the corner windows looks like an early 1950's
Here in the UK we have boom field irrigation plant, but they tend to move along a field rather than circle around.
