After 1.5yrs/52000km my 2020 Taycan 4S lost 7% of it’s SOH. 4 months later it’s rear motor blew 1/1-22 on a mountain pass in a blizzard 1400kms from home after Christmas holidays. 2,5 hrs waiting for help with a dead, blacked out car in the cold dark was a scary experience! Had to pay the rental car to airport myself and hotel rooms + airplane tickets out of my own pocket, only receiving 5 + 2 days of free rental car when home. 2 months later the car was fixed and I traded it for a Cayenne without an extension cord. Never going to own a “premium” large EV again. Maybe a small city-run-around, but not an EV as our main family car meant for all occasions.

That's it is not time yet to buy electric car, I drive 911 carrera 4s 2020, I was thinking to switch to Taycan I think I will do it in 5-10 years when company will fix all issues. 😁

@@jetairblower I agree, but as long as I didn’t really loose any money on it, and at the same time have had the opportunity to live with the Taycan before most others, it was a nice experience up until it went kaputt🫢 It’s probably the best driving Porsche thus far, and by a mile the best driving EV out there. Sort of miss it’s efficiency and driving dynamics, but I can’t live with not being able to use it for whatever, whenever, in any condition. I’m not beta testing a car for a car manufacturer again.

I wish Porsche can bring Taycan Cross Turismo for Forza Horizon 5 racing game. Now I have Taycan Turismo S in this game for design custom livery myself to using Coca-Cola racing design and add some other brand logo . It can give me more design for this Taycan series.

ALL this yet it doesn't say how long (on average) the fast charge will take.

Keeping your battery charged to 80% is fine but fast charging any Lithium Ion battery shortens the capacity over time reducing range. A possible 20% drop in capacity of the battery over 8 years could see a Taycan range drop from 220 miles to 176 miles in summer

Brilliant, bought a Taycan last week. It's a fantastic car, but charging time/range and cost does not translate to what was sold to me. Getting 911 next summer.

We have three charging stations in our area. When will more chargers be installed?

Just a shame Porsche have told customers to halve the charging current when at home. No mention of that. . . . .

    • @falxonPSN

That's an issue with their home charger, not the vehicle. Use a different branded home charger and that problem goes away

Yes first chargers are great.....when you can find them.....when they work....when there isn't a queue..... when you not pre-charged £45 before charging and they find the charger doesn't work and then the next charger which supposedly works charges you another £45 and you have to wait a week to get back the original £45 con......when you have a good hour to waste whilst charging every 250 miles and end up spending more money on coffee when you wait....and great cars.....when you don't have to pay a fortune in initial cost and end up in negative equity so you can't rid of the suped up hairdryer......so EVs are wonderful.....great if you have unlimited funds and unlimited time to waste..........What a con.
