Great video on Pismo...We are Elk members and stay at the Oceano Elk RV park when we go to Pismo. We have never been to the Honeymoon Cafe and will surely go the next time we are in Pismo. Truly love your video and your editing. One question; what was Sue using to video? and any suggestions about what she was using for mic on her setup.? oh...also Thank you for the spread sheets you sent us...we are working on the now. Thanks, Richard, Karen & Rocky
You will be amazed how cheap you can do all this,…..sort of. iPhone cameras are WAY more than enough. We use a 6sPlus and a 10Max. The new multi lens iPhone are even better. Our DSLR camera is too heavy & clunky and doesn't look any better. You absolutely have to get an external mic & dead cat to get good sound and eliminate most wind noise. Bad sound = Bad Movie You need a cheap plastic handle “rig” to hold the phone and the microphone easily. Camera digital stabilizer is good enough unless you are going crazy with movement. A Gimbal does not work with a large cell phone case, and I will not take my $1700 phone out of the case. A Gimbal is overkill x 2 plain and simple. If you have an Apple desktop or laptop, the FREE & INCLUDED iMovie software is great. If you work through learning that program, then graduating and spending the $349 (one time) for Final Cut Pro will be painless. (Apple owns Final Cut Pro) Voice over is part of the software on your computer as long as it has a mic built in, as well as screen recording. We plug an external mic into the computer. We use a Blue Yeti. You of course need large SD cards and external hard drives to store the movie. We have over 60TB of drives. We also use (1) GoPro8. All the cheap stuff we use is in our Amazon Store Page under “Camera Gear Section” so you can get an idea of the brands and costs involved. You will find the store link underneath the video display window in the description area of any of our videos. Our Amazon store link is also on our website: ourjourneyinmyles.com/ We wouldn’t change a thing on our setup so far. It's as easy as it gets. Every minute on screen is at least one hour of work. This excludes actual filming time.
Terrific video. Mark is hilarious. When I see the beach, cliffs and colors I think of what a magnificent artist God is. He created artwork for our pleasure. I travel vicariously with you. I love your story. Thank you. Fellow RVers, Doc and Rita Bowman.
Phil Gibson I am glad I found your channel and have watched a number of your past programs. Very entertaining as well as educational. Thanks for putting these together so people like me can learn and enjoy.
Ahhh lovely Pismo. Been going there for 35 yrs. Quaint fun town, good eating. Glad you got some cinnamon buns. Happy you got to experience it. Vicki and Rob
Great catch Sue!! I think that I would have been on my nose. Absolutely enjoyable video! SAFE TRAVELS! THANKS TO ALL OF THE PAST AND PRESENT PEOPLE IN THE MILATERY!
Great video! We always enjoy your weekly tour video. Thanks for sharing your day in Pismo Beach. You both look great! Enjoy life is so short! Safe Travels! Zoe and Ramon
A great "escape to the coast" video! The fog made it even more honeymoon-ish! You were so excited, as we would be, about the cin rolls, that you walked in the clearly marked exit! Sue, that was a hold our breath moment! Glad you're ok! Thanks again for taking us along! Brendan & Lena
We lived 20 miles up the coast the past 30 years. Morro Bay was our home port until we retired and did the snowbird thing. These videos make us long for home.
Very good entertaining video. I miss this place. Been 30 years. I will need to get back for a visit. You seem to be having fun. No early outrageous charge as with your early check in.
It was great seeing Pismo again. It's been a few years since we stayed there. If you have the time, check out Shell Beach, Avila, and Morro Bay. Also Brad's is my favorite for clam chowder in a bread bowl. You guys would have a wonderful time traveling the coat highway. So much to see and do.
Good day guys. Loved the tour of all the food locations and the sightseeing, the Creative video techniques added to the experience not once did I see Sue switch sides or you change hands.. Keep them coming.... six months and counting....

Love the video great pic that at times takes your breath away. Sue Great Eagle landing or almost anyway. I'm telling you if you had been an eagle diving for a fish in the water. Well that fish would had been lunch at the least ( just kidding ). Thanks for all you two do to share great moments with us !
another great video you went to all my favorite spots I'm a native of SoCal and I go to Pismo all the time to surf its a wonderful place thank you 🙏🏼❤️🤙🏼
I was surprised to see you stopping in Pismo. I lived there with my son in the 80s. We use to go to the dunes for fun and driving our ATVs. I seen many an RV getting into trouble and needing to be rescued. The use to be a theater in Oceano called the Great American Melodrama. That was a great place to see a show. Don’t know if it’s till exists. During the right time of year monarch butterfly gathering there during their migration. Don’t know if the Madonna inn is still around. Alex’s Ribs is also a place to put on your to do list. Then you have Avila Beach but that another story… Have Fun
We loved our time bumming around town! It is a charming and quaint tourist trap which is right up our alley. Check out episode #171 showing us LEAVING the tight campground site! Thanks for watching us Tom,....
I love this video when you went to eat breakfast. Breakfast did look good. The Cinnamon rolls looked good too! The beach looked nice. Sorry about Sues shoes with bird poop on them. Glad Sue didn’t fall when she tripped and almost fell. Glad the chowder to was alright but more glad for her catching her fall. How was the chowder? How was the food all around? Hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend! 🇺🇸 I hike you have a great rest of the week and see you soon. Safe travels and stay safe.
