To add another Thornton Wilder endeavor if you're interested, he wrote the screenplay to Alfred Hitchcock's "Shadow of a Doubt" which was Hitchcock's own favorite of his movies. Great suspense film, with a small town setting, with Joseph Cotton and Teresa Wright

While I love Paul Newman, I find he is distracting in this role - because he is Paul Newman. I think the two best productions (and the Thornton Wilder Society agrees with me) are: The 1977 production with Hal Holbrook, and the 1988 production was Spalding Gray, both available on RUclips.
