- In this episode of Hermitcraft Season 10, Mumbo gets good at Minecraft. Streamlining all of the item organisation, making farms more efficient, building automatic food systems and more. This is a proper old school episode, and I heavily enjoyed making it!

Honestly, its not too bad of an idea. It'd just be a lot more useful for someone like Skizz or Scar since theyre constantly dying from kinetic energy and losing their one arrow.
I use Infinity bows, but I always have one stack of arrows somewhere in my ender chest collection, just in case you should lose your one arrow by accident
You still need _an_ arrow to fire an infinity bow

What happened at the end, I'm confused
@peckychicken the copper golem is just a reskined carved pumpkin (just like the neighborhood's top hats and X's trophies), so when he placed it, it reverted back to its vanilla texture.
You have to put it on an item frame to prevent that from happening.
@peckychicken it's a custom texture applied to a jack-o'-lantern, so it can't be displayed by simply placing it, it has to be placed in an item frame! unfortunately placing it without the item frame destroys the texture and it has to be applied again.
Take him to the factory to be remade, he's such a precious little bean.

It is amazing how prolific Etho is. Etho is far from the biggest Minfcrafter on that server, and he is not, nor does he claim to be, the best at anything in particular, even red stone, but everyone still respects him so much (and rightfully so). This isn't a criticism of Etho, he's an amazing, awe-inspiring person, who does his own thing in his own time, and I think it is exceptional that Mumbo, an indisputable red stone master, with a channel over three times the size, can still be awestruck by Etho.
I wouldn't say biggest. I would say most iconic/legendary or something like that, but totally agree otherwise
The best way to explain etho is hes the minecraft youtuber that made all of our minecraft youtubers wanna be minecraft youtubers
He was just one of the first to do it, so they watched him do it long before they did it.

In fairness, I don't think most people consider what it's made from once the word "chip" comes out. Potato chip just seems to translate to most as any chip on the market.
Lol tbf he's British, we don't use the word "chip" for the same food item Americans do, we generally use the word crisp so a lot of people aren't even aware of what they're made out of

The fact that both Mumbo doesn't, and Grian didn't know you can just press spacebar to refill the recipe making it 10x faster to craft items like the dispenser.
It sure does make me feel better about myself!
Or putting the recipe in an autocrafter with a clock, then put a hopper on top of it and craft like a stack of bows (or whatever unstackable item you need) and throw them on top.
Edit: or use another autocrafter for the bows lmao, this item really makes everything too easy.

13:00 You can craft dispensers faster. If you know how to trade with villagers faster, by doing one trade then clicking space to do it repeatedly, the same exists for crafting!

2 crafters is the fastest method, and the least clicking.

Far faster and easier to just craft a ton of bows, dump them on the floor, and spam click two single buttons
Oh Mumbo… you gotta stay up to date with Minecraft! Not only can you quickly craft Dispensers using the space bar, you can also use the space bar when you are trading! Also, you can attach a lead to a boat! That would have made the adventure with the villagers sooo much quicker!
Hey, so how are you doing that with the space bar? I saw mumbo do it in the next episode, but it doesn't seem to work on the version I'm playing, does it only work with the dispenser? Because I tried it with sticks and it didn't work. Is it a mod or is the version I'm playing not have it?
12:45 When pressing SPACE in the crafting menu you repeat the recipe you just used from the recipe book. Meaning you can actually craft dispensers super fast if you hover over the crafted item and repeatedly press space and left click.
9:08 btw. i think the reason for why the nether portal is linking up wrong is because mumbos portal is elevated like 2 blocks, making joels nether portal actually closer to mumbos overworld portal than his own.
for future reference: if there's a custom 3D model on an item, that item is usually a carved pumpkin and should not be placed without an item frame, lest it loses its custom model

The reason they use pumpkins is that you can equip those and it'll show the custom models. I kinda don't get why they don't use something like iron nuggets more often like Tango did in DO2. Not everything needs to be a hat and you can't accidentally place those.
@imperfectimp I was working under the assumption that they couldn't use regular items for 3D models so they just used carved pumpkins since they had to use a block, but the new food in Scar's zoo (and the food in Scarland, which slipped my mind until I watched his new episode) are 3D despite being golden carrots, so I'm guessing that's not the case.
dawg, why do you need arrows in your enderchest, when you have infinity on your bow?
12:45 There is, if you click on the recipe in the recipe book, you can use space like with villagers to fill the slots again (grian asked the same thing like 2 weeks ago)

I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone mention the crafter yet. It's pretty cheap and fast to set up an automatic dispenser crafter. Probably significantly faster than crafting a stack by hand
So Mumbo in Grian's latest video he taught something about crafting dispensers. After you crafted one, you can press spacebar to load the last crafted recipe into the crafting table, which allows you to speed craft items
Mumbo and grian having the same problem with dispensers is funny to me lol 🤣

Ep is called "getting good" and he went with golden carrots as opposed to the superior cooked steak/pork chops (and no the couple points of saturation does not trump the extra heart, it's negligible, there are countless analyses of every possible scenario and playstyle and there isn't one combination where golden carrots are better. Cooked steak/pork chops are objectively superior).

To be honest netherite isn't as worth it for hermitcraft players as you might think. Hermitcraft is so low stakes netherite isn't that much better than diamond.

Amazing how Mumbo was never good the past 16 years of playing Minecraft, but after the 12 hours in this video, he is now a god amongst man. I guess this just proves that if you set yourself up to do something, you can do it.
You can use 2 crafters to more easily make dispensers! One to craft the bow which feeds into the one that crafts the actual dispenser. Takes a little bit of setup but if you're bulk crafting it's much easier
Also you can just press space after crafting and it and it re-crafts the last recipe
I swear people constantly need to teach people this. Minecraft really failed at making it a easy function to find and use

Mumbo… you can use leads on boats to transport villagers now. Also, you can use the space bar to quick craft items like dispensers in the crafting table now
I think the leads on boats ting is only in the latest snapshot. Hermitcraft isn't in the version of Minecraft yet, so he can't use leads until the next update releases.

For the sake of compactness I wouldn't put more than three stacks of torches in the mining box. Put in coal blocks instead of torches. The shulker boxes are not for easy access, they're for bulk storage. The inventory is for easy access. With this extra space you can put in some bundles because those are really useful for all the bits and bops you pick up while mining.
12:41 - Good news! There actually is a faster way of crafting dispensors! After crafting one (using the crafting book), you can now press space after crafting each one. You could do this with villager trades for ages, and Mojang finally added it to regular crafting.
Or you can build a crafter setup for them which seems kinda fun

if you press space bar it will auto fill the last item you crafted if you have the ingredients in your inventory. Very useful for bulk crafting dispensers.
Pressing space while crafting now automagically refills the last recipe you crafted using the recipe book (like it does with villagers trades) - very useful for crafting dispensers quickly! (or you could make a crafter that does it for you)

In your quest to get good, it's worth noting that you can attach a lead to a boat now. Which makes villager transport far, FAR easier than it had to be for almost the entirety of the portion you were doing it for the video. You can get them up blocks by just jumping or building some scaffold to lift the boat up, no pistons required. you mostly just need mine carts for specific placing as in a trading hall.
That ending is a nice reminder that even though you’ve gotten good your still mumbo lol
