Saw the original Babys in a bar just as they were starting to blow up. Great show..they really rocked...and they did the slow stuff too. So cool to see a few feet from the stage.
Agree completely. To add, I’m not a fan of how they did the two guitar parts during the verse and the guitar bridge. It was okay overall. Nothing special.
I miss this San Jose location, I was at this show. Rock Bar in General was so small that you're literally feet away from the stage. Europe, Ratt, LA Guns, Bullet boys, Y+T and astonishingly talented local bands. They had a 3m tall rubber Godzilla stage left.
The Rock Bar booked amazing talent. Getting the Baby's was a feather in the Capp. The reason they subducted , the Rock Bar, they were operating at a loss. Stop paying and word gets out fast. Santa Rosa opened a larger venue named U of Rock . UofR had Winger and Cinderella Incredible venue they too had cash flow problems.
I'm one of the biggest fans of the Babys in the world. They still dominate my stereo. If they reunited with Waite it would bring me down because I can't stand singers that butcher their own songs and a lot of them do it. Waite is one of the world's worse at it. Though most bands play the songs like the records, most singers somehow feel they have the right to sing the songs totally different than the music we used to love. This guy unfortunately doesn't sound like Waite but at least he doesn't totally butcher these great classic songs. He's a very good bass player too.
There's a lot of 70's 80's bands and lead singers that cannot sing the songs exactly like it was released decades early. Few can. I've heard John live, he still has a great voice.
As a songwriter I do have the right to sing one of my songs anyway I want to I own it I created it it's mine and if you don't like it don't listen to it. Just one of the things I love the best about my favorite band led Zeppelin I never played any song the same twice and if you're that shallow that you just want to hear what the radio played to you maybe you should just stick with pop
As a fan from the early days who recently rediscovered the band, I can honestly say I love this version of the band. John Bisaha was a good find and I don't miss that other John at all. For the naysayers out there clamoring for the original John, you are probably the same ones who say Foreigner isn't Foreigner without Lou Gramm. I say Bullshit! This band has paid its dues and is just as much the Babys today as they were is the 70's.
Foreigner picked a decent replacement for vocals. This guy is probably good in some other band but not replacing John Waite. It’s like Queen trying to replace Freddie Mercury with Paul Rodgers. Great singer but not for Queen.
The Babys are great and who ever designed the logo on the bass drum ROCKS. " A true rock and roll art master image".
check out the official video, it's the same bass drum logo, oh yeah, Jonathan Cane from journey was in the band

Not the same without John. This is Baby's Light...
That's right, I saw babys with john waite, waites voice knock me on my ass, one of the top 5 vocalists of that era for me
I bought Wally Stocker drinks at a rock & roll bar, at one time he lived in my hometown in Northern Michigan.
The babys without john waite??..nah, not the same, this guy has a good voice but john waites dynamic just can't be duplicated

The one guitarist is one of the original members and I believe the drummer is too.... the singer's name is John Bisaha.
The Baby's Lite😎
Where's John Waite?
still touring.
A little too slow.
Just ain't John Waite. Hate the comparison thing, but this guy sounds more like Jon Cain than Waite.
Yeah he sounds a lot better than John W nowadays
That's not The Babys
What the hell is this?
Just doesn't sound the same without John waite's voice still sounds good though
It was a well whut happened

lol ,where's Johnny!???
He's definitely not a John Waite, but he's a pretty good singer. This band could have been decent as an 80s hairband.
Hair? These guys are Brits
Man I wonder how that lead at the end would have sounded without all that delay and compression. Straight in to an 800.
It's not the Babys without Waite
Or Cain as well
I agree. Good thing he still tours and sings Babys songs.
draggin

I like it when they change up! If you want too hear the way it was recorded? Then play the 8-track😉
cannot replace jon waite ever
Not the Babys
Not the Baby's
Tony Brock = solid dynamic time
Sounds like a cover band
Two original members, Wally stocker and tony brock. Not a cover band
@@davejosephson2464How can it be the Babys without John Waite?
no need to Waite, I like it
I didn't know Fabio could sing & play bass
Ugh - That was way to slow
Singer/bass can barely keep it together sing @this tempo
Are you serious I thought this was a cover band
more chorus LOL
Didn't do it for me sorry, vox lacking the JW gravel
I like the 'Blonde' w/the Tamborine!
singers wife I believe
LOL
Honestly it's a good rendition but there's only one John Waite and he still tours solo.

@@fearbabyriffs I was just thinking that about Foreigner, I saw them a few years back in Phx.
Hey, just let the guys have fun, they paid their dues many years ago.
Who did?
I wouldn't say the singer has
Tony Brock @@screwyootube1
No John Waite, no Babys.
The Baby’s Union Jack 👍The
Don't know who that is singing, but he fucked up the lyrics BIG TIME!! Ugh
What a MESS
The Babys ain't the Babys without John Waite👊
Good band though 👍
Whos singing
Don't know, but he fucked up the lyrics big time!! Ugh
@Mike Cap Couldn't think of his name then, but he's actually a nice guy...but he did screw up the lyrics! 😂😂
Great until the not John vocalist chimes in with his reedy voice.
This ain't the REAL. Singer. John Waite ! ?
listen to the record for this one.............puke
imposters
I've seen better at high schools without John Waite you are wasting all of our time
Nice big band but that voice does nothing for me
Who was that? Sounds like Crap!
YES! 🤣😂🤣 I was excited to hear the 2015 version and I'm like WTF, WHERE'S JOHN WAITE??? 🤣🤔
A Really BAD imposter of a Band ....
Maybe they are a cover band, sounded good to me, John Waite does have that pristine voice though
