I have been doing some research and the company name is Bavariandominator is this the same company as diagnostic-world that are selling these tools?? Why have a different name??
Interesting points there on the BT version. I have just bought one and been playing around for a few days. The potential for the BT connection to fail is mitigated by being able to connect to the dongle via the supplied cable. For anything that involves writing to the car, you might want to use the cable instead just in case of a disconnect. For reading data/faults etc just use the wireless and have the freedom to move around. Also, the dongle has an LED light built in - very handy for plugging into OBD ports that are in dark dingy parts of the dashboard. I think the BT version for an extra 20 quid is well worth it. Thanks for tall the good reviews and info on the channel, it really helps to find the right tool amongst the huge number on the market 👍
@@Teevibes510 Yes - the cable used for charging the main unit connects between the BT dongle and the main unit making it a wired connection. The software on the CR Max actually tells you that the cable connection is generally faster than a wireless connection although I find wireless fast enough. It feels like you've got the best of both worlds with the Max BT. The only downside I see with the Max BT is you're more likely to lose the BT dongle although the software does remind you (with a message and an alarm sound) to remove it from the car.
@@Teevibes510 I don't have much to compare this scanner to, but the Scan Tool Network review is full of good info. From my experience, the unit is a great device and works well - I don't have any problems with it and the wireless works fine (but can be cabled as well as my previous comment). I have tried it on a couple of cars and works fine with autodetect etc... It appears to be more comprehensive than my older Foxwell unit. I usually use dealer-software called ISTA on BMWs and this is far more intuitive to use but not as powerful for obvious reasons. The biggest problem is trying to find out if a specific feature will work on a specific car.
Thank you Neil. I’m also using ISTA. Just need a great in between scanner that is quick and intuitive. I’m going to get this CR MAX BT and see how it goes
The CR Max indicates it has Bluetooth connectivity in the specifications. Would I be able to purchase the bluetooth dongle that is supplied with the Max BT and use it on the standard Max? Alternatively can the Max BT be used with hardwire OBD2 cable?
Can you please make a video on the CR Ultra. And maybe compare it to the CR Max. I understand the CR Ultra is mostly for shops, but what would be the differences between them just so I know what I’ll be missing on - or not - if I get the CR Max
What’s the cheapest tool I can use to relearn the Ford Focus 2012 transmission…I’m from the um but now moved and living in Tennessee USA .. I’m looking for cheapest please 👍 relearn after working on transmission… thanks 🙏
Would love to see a iCarsoft CR Max vs The Autel MK808 now it's had the update for bi-functional testing 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 and which one you'd recommend 😊 Love the channel, keep up the great work 👍🏻👍🏻
Can additional android apps be installed on the the MAX? I have a special app, NMPS DIAG, that I use for Small quantity relearn on my Mitsubishi Triton/warrior/L200. I currently have the PRO which does not have this feature and I am guessing the MAX wont either. It would be handy to be able to install it and just use the one device.
Stay away from Bluetooth scanners, unreliable junk. I have a BlueDriver Pro scan tool recommended by Scotty Kilmer, absolute wast of money, never taking any advise from him again

Is there in fact a supplied cable and port on the BT device for this?

Hello Neil, I would like to hear about experience with the CR Max BT. Are you impressed with this diagnostic tool? What are the pros & cons? Thanks!
