This was by far the best day of the whole trip. I got to see some amzing scenery from the cliffs looking out over the Mediterranean. And it was nice to get some sunshine compared to the rainy start I got at the beginning of the trip. Hope you'll enjoy the video. The final installment in this series will drop next Thursday.
My gripe with cyclist is they want to be treated like a car or vehicle accept when it comes to stop signs and stop lights. If you want to be treated with respect then stop at every stop sign and red light. I have a friend from high school who hit one and got off all their charges in court.
Stunming video mikael thanks for sharing absolutely love your kona sutra (in most of your other uploads)stay safe out there and keep up the great videos all the best colin 👍 🚴♂️👌👍🏻☀️🏕🔥
Lovely footage Mikael. Greetings from "Down Under" . At 10.00 ; here in NSW the state government followed the example of Queensland state government and also implemented the one metre rule up to 60 kph and 1.5 metre over 60 kph ; the distance that vehicles must leave when overtaking a cyclist. . The governments have had to do this because of the almost non existent bicycle infrastructure . These are the only two states in Oz where this rule applies to motorists, so far. A helmet must be worn Australia wide when riding or face a fine of over $400. I notice you had a different bike from the one you used when touring in Slovakia. All the best.
Hi Andy! Here in Sweden Australia is often referenced in debates over a possible helmet law. We have a law for all kids up to the age of 15 to wear a helmet, but I think such a law concerning adults is far away. I would really appreciate that 1,5 meter law though. Not that the motorists here in Sweden are so bad. Generally people behave well in traffic, but there is always some idiots that come too close. Yes, this was my old bike (which I still use from time to time). I purchased my new Kona Sutra before I went to the Czech Republic. This trip was filmed about a half year earlier. Enjoy your summer there. We had -29C this morning, so I'm really looking forward to some warmer weather.
@@BikeTouringMike ahh..it's called "envy" Mikael...don't underestimate the affects of your videos, they at the very least provide a fix until I can get out myself. Thanks again.
Another great video Mikael. It,s nice to watch your video and for a moment forget the snow and minus 16 degrees celsius we have outside right now. What a lovely place to bicycle touring. Thanks for sharing. Raymond
Hi Mikael, Greetings from Jacksonville, Florida. New subscriber. This video was probably in my recommendations because I follow Bicycle Touring Pro. As a point of interest, my wife and I spent ten days camping on the beach just south of Lloret De Mar, on our honeymoon, 46 years ago this May. It was as beautiful then as now. Great video.
Wow, 46 years married. That's impressive. My wife and I celebrate 10 years this summer. Hope we'll get to 46 some day. We were in Florida just 2 weeks ago. Not to Jacksonville though. We stayed in the southern parts, Fort Myers and Fort Lauderdale. But we really enjoyed visiting your state! Glad you found my channel and subscribed.
Mikael Hedberg - finished viewing this tour this morning. Enjoyed it a lot. Will now move on to the Lapland tour. I’ve spent some time around Ft Myers in the past. I understand they’ve had some problems with red tide lately. I hope it didn’t effect your visit.
@@danielwyvern5 No, no red tide. We had a pretty big storm on December 20th but other than that we had two fantastic weeks there. Especially appreciated all the wonderful national parks you have in Florida.
Mikael Hedberg - If you ever come back this way we could show you around north Florida. Lots to see here also. Bring your bike, or I’ll find a loaner for you.
Yeah, I was on a tight schedule as usual. But the great thing about bicycle touring is that it's perfect for scouting out places to visit in the future. I'll gladly go back to either Tossa de Mar or Lloret de Mar.
Hello! I have a front rack, but it's a minimal one called XLC LR-F02. I guess it's hard to see inte videos since it's mostly covered by the front panniers. But it's there.
Hi Mikael, i am a recent subscriber, just want to say that your videos are so inspiring and you have a nice relaxing style which is easy to watch and listen too. Great video quality are you still using Sony hdr 200v for this spain trip Can I also ask....do you ever have problems with mosquitoes especially when camping..I mean how do you protect your self against bites etc do you have a first aid kit Many thanks, Tom
Hey, thanks for watching and leaving a comment! This tour actually took place prior to the other tours so yes I shot a lot of the tour with the Sony HDR AS200V. If you've seen my videos from Swedish Lapland, you can see that we have lots of mosquitoes here in northern Sweden. While cycling during the day, they're usually not a big problem, but during the night they usually appear. And especially if your close to a lake or river. Then you'll be invaded by them. I don't really like mosquito repellant due to all the chemicals, but I'll use it if I really have to. My strategy is to put some covering clothes on or the get inside my tent as quick as possible. While the mosquitoes in Sweden can be annoying as h**l, but they are actually harmless. They don't carry any disease. Fun fact: there are 47 different species of mosquitoes in Sweden.

Beautiful scenery. I felt like I was along on the ride; great video shots. Pretty funny about the private terrace, nice you could enjoy it.
Beautiful ride. Hope to see that soon.

Hey mikael, how did u mount the front bags on your fork? I dont see a lowrider mount or something.

Not on the ideal bike. I know on the new bike u have it. But not on that one u used in spain.
I have the same front rack on both bikes. I just moved the rack over to the new bike when I bought it. It's now mounted on my new bike.
