- This was Inforgrames answer to Ubisoft Tonic Trouble/Rayman like game ... what can i say ... Great start that slowly ended in a shitty end... and open end that never ever had a sequel ...
and it was one of my vids from my backlog of 4T of vids that will sooner or later land here ... this one is from 2015 ... the time when i realised , one of my pads broke and had awful stick drift ...
and LULZ at 8:13 face, hahahaha
I've had this game stuck in my head recently. I have not thought about it since I played it which must have been like 2000 and something. All I remember Is I didnt know how to read at the time since I was so young but vividly remember getting it in a magazine or something.
Freak accident I've come across this again and it's weird to see it after all these years
it was one of those requested games for a LP ... that was stuck in limbo ...if your asking
Wait, there was a PC version with FMV and voice acting???
yeah , the n64 version was a crappy port by the way
The full game could not fit on the N64 cartridge. They should have released it for PlayStation instead.
Yeah, this was the one I grew up playing.
The last level was very disappointing. I was expecting that once I get inside there will be a whole new area, but you immediately fight the final boss. And then the story ends up not finished :(
+1
Lol. I recall playing this back in the day and getting stuck somewhere along the way. Trippy. :-D
Wow, i didnt knew this game had a version with voice acting, thanks for showing us this!. Yet I must say it was quite painful to watch you play lol.
It was quite painful to realize my xbox360 pad a stick drift ...
My god, these Character models.
Can you post the rest of this playthrough? It's the only legit PC version playthrough of this game online! I'm enjoying it so much with full VO rather than the N64 version, which is so stripped down.
it was stuck in limbo ... and there are countless other lps from the PC version , but most of them where made in 640x480 resolution
@@hfric I can't find any PC lets plays, only the darn N64 version, lol.
@@smorc65 found a couple speedruns from the PC version ruclips.net/video/eC0R2OBHLBg/видео.html but like i said before all are in 240p
this person is defnly using his feet to play
multitasking like a badass
Maybe, but you have to take into account that this game has absolutely HORRIBLE controls and camera
How did you get this working so perfectly on Windows 10? I get black screen during FMVs, no audio dialgoue and low frames on a RTX 4060.
play on win10 1607 (since 22h1 removed dx1-8 backwards compatibility since fuck users) , use 3dfx emulator dgvoodoo to get video , Turn on in Windows Features Legacy Support for Direct Play so game can see old DX Api, Install DX9c to have Api to Run DX7 on Dx12 , have 3dsoundBack installed to have EAX back since M$ fucking hate users , and then install full mega version of K-Lite codec pack to get video and audio... not to mention remove Xbox Play , Xbox Game Record DVR, Xbox Service , Cortana with BlackBird... then reinstall Nvidia drivers without telemetry with NVCleanstall_1.15.1 ( Telemetry that BY AUTO uses it to STOP and SLOWDOWN DX1 to 9c games and programs BUT NOT DX11-12!) but before that remove the spying Gpu drivers with DDU v18.0.4.6
This is what you have to do to play this game on Win10 1607 ... but since this was footage from 2015 it was played on Win7 when DX11 still have NATIVE SUPPORT for DX1-9c ...
@@hfric I ended up using nglide and it worked pretty well. Wasn't able to watch any FMVs but the game ran fine otherwise. Thanks for this information though!
@@hfric yet this is on steam.
how did you do to play it? I have windows 10 and it does not work for me.
and yet it works ... funny ain't it
Thanks!
Why tf are they calling him Starshort?
since.he.can.shot.stars.from.his.fingers.bra.
Voice acting is cool.
but this soundtrack is weak compared to the n64.
It feels off while the n64 fits the game much better.
what a shame, the soundtrack on the 64 version was really great, this one is awful...
No ... one is a cut , censored version made to fit into a 12mb cartridge with all quality squashed ... the PC year later version, is theirs true vision how this game would have looked if the N64 would had 650MB cartridges then ... 64MB , and most of the time you used the cheap 12MB , since production costs should be minimal... not to mention , with all adult imagery left intact ... and this was made to many multi port games , the N64 version where always the worst ones ... just check Tonic Trouble or Rayman 2 , N64 vs PC ... even Turok ...
most of the time Console versions where the product test versions ... "oh , this game is popular on this Wii\N64 cheap dev console ... now we can push the real expensive version on PC" ... that was then ... now its the other way around ... PC is the Beta test platform , Consoles get the definitive version ...
@@hfric rayman 2 on 64 and on pc have the exact same soundtrack
N64 version is much better music wise.
Like with Glover on N64 , the PS1 version is superior ...
