Too often people who want to evade accountability use the word “witch hunt” to describe people trying to hold them accountable. That’s wholly unacceptable. However, when the focus is consistently challenging people who may have caused harm but not actually taking the lead from victims, it ceases to be about women and their safety. It turns into labeling people without holding anyone accountable. That definitely seems to be the case in this video. You can disagree with me, but at the end of the day I do this with people who don’t have fame or wealth every single day and I’d like to think I am more knowledgeable than people who mostly just dogpile celebs on social media and don’t make their own communities safer.

I’m very glad things have changed and ‘the traditional way’ (mature guy + teenage girl = s.ex) is dying slowly but surely. In the 2000’s for ex, nobody would have dared even to publicly question these kind of ‘traditional’ ways of rockers.
I don’t think Anthony is the only one of the group to be “problematic”, but he probably was the worst. I had a friend when I was 16 who’d moved from Las Vegas who had a crazy story about the RHCP. Her friend group was between 14-16 & didn’t have a lot of parental supervision so were out late & met the RHCP’s. They flirted with them & invited them to party with them & even invited them to fly back to LA with them. My friend and her group wanted to go but my friend had a 104° fever and ended up in the ER. She would talk about how devastating it was that being sick ruined her chance to hook up with one of them (she was hoping for John) & at that age I agreed. (We were “bad” girls with fcked childhoods so we were the kind of girls who thought hooking up with older guys in a band was cool.) She even had picture of them with the RHCP from that night. But yeah I totally forgot about that story until I started hearing the stories that started coming out & was like, wtf that was actually really fcked up.
