The chapos seem ok , not too sure where you went " wrong ", maybe the flour was a bit too hard when you kandad .Also you might be cutting big balls hence the thick chapos ..I recommend watching Judy Njogu on youtube ,everyone loves her chapos . If using Ajab use a little more cooking oil while kneeding
