I'm sure papa Joe smiled a lot at Michael and his brothers, but it's when he would get mad was the problem, he would tore this kids up man.
He mainly whooped them when they messed up during rehearsals. Not saying it’s right or anything, but he wasn’t abusing them to the extent most people want you to believe.

My favorite scene in a movie featuring him was when he was in "Drumline" eating a burger trying not to let the other band members know he was pledging...it was hilarious!!!
