The problem with Roma is as Mourinho said they have a good team but not a good squad and unfortunately you can't compete in a high level in every competition without a great squad. You need to rotate players to keep fresh legs but at the same time you want to keep the same quality of football.
What is important this season for Roma is to create both a winning mentality and a never-give-up attitude. At 2-0 down, late in the match, the Roma players were still attacking and that would have pleased the fans. Last season players would have accepted the loss without a fight looking at that scoreline!! Beaten by a soft penalty and a free kick - both actually quite avoidable - which tells us the defense is getting better at snuffing out dangerous situations. Roma has been highly competitive in every match and we still remain in 4th spot. Every ROMA FAN must accept that this SEASON is not about winning the scudetto - however close it may get. It is a season though where ALL the players who go onto that pitch must always fight to the end of each match. Jose will continue developing the squad and gradually increase the squad depth required to challenge for trophies in multiple competitions. Players will improve their understanding of tactics and learn what to do in certain situations practised in training and discussed in team talks. IMO, with the dominance of average level players and a "just like dribble not passing" winger Zaniolo, this is an acceptable result for Roma at this time. 😆 If Conte was JM and board of directors was Chelsea, they could replace at least a half of this formation except Rui Patricio. Top 4 is fesible for the club at the moment to achieve a slot for Champions League. But it is difficult to win any titles with current quality of the team.

The problem isnt how many assists/goals..the problem is that they miss hit passes/crosses too regularly...this is nothing to do with managers, its to do with ability. Its to do with how many killer passes/crosses they provide and the creativity. The best players adapt to their managers and still play well. Maybe you are Armenian (judging by your name) and your protecting your countryman which is fair enough. Mikhi is a good player but Roma wont win the league with him. Anyway, his contract ends in 2022 and if Roma find a replacement, which I think they are, I dont think he will stay next season.
