There is no direct way from the speaker itself.
You can use the EQ on your phone to reduce the bass.

BOAT 1800 VS JBL FLIP6 VS JBL FLIP5 VS JBL CHARGE 5 - please give the order from best to okay types.
I prefer great vocals(with depth) and punchy heart-thumping bass and good battery life. Nothing else matters

Haven't used ANY of the Flip series,so will not comment.
Charge 5 is great but doesn't have thumping bass, although for its size the bass is mighty impressive.
The one that tops these is Tribit StormBox Blast. It is a literal beast.
