It's was actually announced in April of last year but I think was only available in August of 2023. In answer to your other question, it is one of the newest workstation platforms from HP at least until they come out with a G6 version. Thanks for the comment and watching!

    Hi!
I'm considering buying a used Z4 G5 in the future and was wondering about if it could fit a Nvidia RTX 3070 From Evga with the dimension:
    Height: 5.38 in - 136.75mm
    Length: 11.81 in - 300mm
    Width: 2.75 Slots
Of course with the PCI retainer. Though I'm also considering buying a Intel GPU from their Arc lineup when their gen-3 or -4 eventually comes out.

    Hello
I finally purchased a HP Z4 G5, very powerful, but... It is very noisy compared to my old Hp Z620. Even in idle mode (CPU < 3 5%), it is difficult to work nearby. I do not know which fan is accountable for this noise. If you have any idea...
I have the premium tower, with the optional M2 cage and 2 NVME Disks. The reseller had to ask to HP for this configuration, because they were not aware about the options. Inside, Due to the M2 cage and their cables and the graphics cards, I think it's difficult to plug the memory fan on the motherboard. Be careful if you remove them.
Otherwise, performance are impressive when using Capture One (I mainly work on photo and video editing).Boot, opening chrome and loading pages and other basic tasks are incredibly fast. Next week, I will try Adobe Photoshop.

That is a great question. The older QuickSpecs, which we have on our site and will soon be switched out, says it's available as a factory install and as an option kit. This on bottom of page 10 is the actual carrier and then there are kits for the M.2s that go onto the carrier top of page 11 www.itcreations.com/user-manuals/z4-g5/hp-z4-g5-quickspecs-2023.pdf
      However,
The newest quick specs say it is not available as an install kit and only as a factory option. Meaning, you would have to order the unit with the carrier installed. This on page 11 h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=c08482306
Might be an error on HP's part but not sure in what direction. The fact that it cannot be located with a search makes me thing factory install is the only way, at the moment, I will see if we can get a response from HP. Don't expect an answer real soon but I will post it when I get one.
      Thanks for watching!

I did put the question to CRU as well about availability and pricing. Not listed is the QX428 just the QX448. Asked about that too. Will see if they respond. Here is a link: www.cru-inc.com/products/ships/qx448/
      Good luck!
