🎮 Comment The last installment of Extreme G. And if you ask me the worst one. First, there is the music. While all 3 previous games had good electronic music that was made specifically for the game this one just licensed some random music tracks from different artists and bands. As a result I had to mute it (It’s not about the money, it’s about the risk of blocked videos) Then there are the tracks. Not kissing the walls too much was already hard to impossible in the previous games but here you get punched in the face with impossible turns. So unless you can provide your own full gameplay with perfect turns keep your “lol, you so bad at this” comments for yourself. Here are part 1,2 and 3: Part 1: ruclips.net/video/BzwxxnSe6FA/видео.html Part 2: ruclips.net/video/etaZ1D0hSJQ/видео.html Part 3: ruclips.net/video/obDJIo4mOKY/видео.html
First off, The soundtrack was BT and Celldweller which PERFECTLY fit the futuristic atmosphere of the game. And tracks are chaotic and a blast to play though, I get that its not your kind of game but for a lot of us this game was our introduction to the Wipeout/F-Zero style of futuristic racing games. You also need to keep in mind that every bike handles differently and some are better built for other tracks then others. You also shouldn't try and fire constantly while driving curves. Only on straight paths should you use your gun. Thats why you kept running into walls. The game wasn't perfect but it was fun.
Hahaha obviously someone can't handle the heat of xgra!! It's funny because the last installment actually required alot more skill and split second reactions. But bad players will always have something bad to say when there not able to win...
@Retro Game Spacko your right I should post it up. I've played it so much that I make sure that when my weapons are fully online, I'm the only bike left on the track Hahaha
@@ryantully-fleming7177 Haha... collect power ups, drop the orbital laser. I WAS the only rider left, but those.... those immortal... THINGS kept coming back from the dead, every race! If reality was a thing, the championship would have ended right there. Well... maybe except for MkIV. He was a robot, soooo...
Regardless what one person said as a pinned comment. This game is still amazing. I'm sure the guy just couldn't control his bike. Sure the controls weren't the best, but I had no issues with playing it.
One game that is actually very similar in terms of design is Break Arts 2. Its a racing game, but there is such a focus on fighting that the meta in that game is focused around destroying the opponents and then just racing to the finish because you are the last guy standing.
I don't remember much of this game since I was merely a 5 year old watching my dad play on our old xbox But goddamn, seeing the intro movie, the menu designs, and even the gameplay just takes me back
This game introduced me to the world of trance. I was so captivated, I ended up hunting down one of the albums. BT's Movement in Still Life. Always anticipated breaking the sound barrier and having all noise fade away except for the music.
I remember playing this game on the original xbox and for them to have stop and panic (cirrus) omg when i first heard that song it was from this game! This game needs a remaster and is one of the best racing games
This is the first game of the series I played actually. Hahaha 😂 I LOVED this so much. I always dream of a remake of the series. This one of the other 3 is my favorite for sure!
when it happens dont forget to tell you favorite gaming news site they should mention that rad YT channel which has the whole Gamecube library uploaded ;-)
Didn't even know there was a 4th game. I loved the first one on the 64. Sadly 2 and 3 when I tried them didn't live up to hype I had for the original. Hopefully this one can top the last 2. I'd like them to make another personally. I also may just be partial to how edgy the 64 graphics are, adds a bit of coolness to the edgey designs already present on the bikes.
I don't know if anyone is aware of this, and so far I haven't been able to find the significance for it, but if you press the accelerator button in time with the countdown you will hear a voice say "Force 1/2/3", depending on which count you were able to time the press. If anyone knows the significance of that feature, let me know
As a fan of the first 3, especially XG3 being a favorite among friends for years, I was greatly disappointed by this one. It's a shame the series I probably gone for good.
Extreme g collection but not for the switch but the Xbox and PlayStation as well On the switch version you can use the Nintendo characters Xbox master chief from halo series And from PlayStation crash bandicoot,Jax and daxter, sly coper and drake from the uncharted series Multiplayer regular up to 8 players if you have the switch and the PlayStation portal same for the steam deck and for online multiplayer 12 players Must have more tracks and training mode and customization for your controller For free race mode you can change the ai difficulty, number of laps, health status, weapon energy, increased speed at start of race, and more importantly create a track option so you can create race tracks based on other games to give them ideas and create their own Grand Prix and another important thing the bikes change colors to your own liking and create your own bike and costumise to your liking and create your own team and more opportunities in updates and dlc’s in the future.
While this definitely has some charm, it also has problems. The music being a big one, like pinned comment said. And the default volume of the bikes is so loud, you can barely hear anything else. The general look of the bikes and tracks are cool, tho a bit bland compared to XG2. The commentators have to be the best part. They add realism, and they're pretty funny.
Weird, I just beat this on my steamdeck and I didn't get the final celebration video. I just got the congratulations rider and that was it. Yeah, the game is not great. Loads of early 2000s cringe commercial rock music. Ultrasonic is fast but not challenging fast like 1500G class in XG3. Blowing up the advertisement signs as a contract is pretty silly. Once you get the deathstrike upgrade, you can just kill everyone. It was fun but I wouldn't play it again.
You can turn perfectly fine here. What you mean are the air breakes. Those strafe your vehicle indeed and without them futuristic racers like Xtreme G, F Zero or Wipeout would be unplayable.
@@RetroGameSpacko same gameplay can be found in some motorcycle games like speed kings. I just hate these kind of controls, and that is it. It is not a offence at all, but after playing perfectly precise and delightful controls like in burnout 3 and revenge, also ps1 (and remake) crash racing game, other games are just dope. Even Mario Kart is not delightful like these I mentioned (however it is good, overall). Does One like extreme-G? okay, totally fine. Not a game for me, however, and I think this control type is inadequate just like tanker ones from RE series from past time. For me they are unplayable precisely because of the strafe. F-Zero is another one that I don't enjoy at all. It is just like this, my friend. No hate for people who enjoy it. But, for the controls, I reserve myself the right of not enjoying them at so such proportion that they backwards to negative portion of the likability spectre so I can say "I hate".
More folks are frustrated with these types of racing game controls than those that enjoy them. I like the challenge they present and the skillset required. It's a bit of a niche genre as the lack of sequels shows.
We dont include licensed music that wasn't made for the game. It's not about money. If someone could give us a guarantee that videos with copyright claims wont be blocked in the future or even cause strikes then we would gladly waive on all revenue and upload these titles with their licensed music tracks. We had several cases where videos got blocked because of this problem.
Jesus... I just tried this. Hated every second. Crazy long delay between buttonpress and action, the sound effects is just baffling bad, the tracks is just.... straight out trash and the so called music... yuck.

@@selfloathingweekly being able to drive and shoot at the same time takes skill and not everyone can multi-task.
I dream of redesigning this game concept. I actually really don't like racing games, but this game made me love it as a kid.

This game is an absolute classic. A total joy to play and experience, IMO.
This was the best one and most of the characters had a story
Now this, this is even better than Pod racing
I forgot this video game existed. I just happened to remember about it, due to Robin Schulz's "in your eyes" music video.
Omg i used to Love this Series ! Wow thx LPA ! 😁😎❤💛💙😊👍

The camera moves too much in this one, feels bad. I think the best one on controls, camera and track design is the first one.

This game takes a lot of inspiration from F-Zero GX...
The two games were in development around the same time. And even then this one is a direct sequel to XGIII, which was a Gamecube launch window title.
And Wipeout
Extreme G 3 was better in every way
i want a new version of this game made and put on pc and switch
Is the xbox version compatible with the xbox one?
No. I wish it was.
Is this better than GXIII?
Imho no.
