Maybe he's setting up a suit video, would be neat if it is more in-depth. But I can also see him not answering it as this channel's main focus is fine-dining. Next to that it might give away too much personal information as people already have been so curious to his backstory/life.
@@bruceharlick3322 Love it! I have a modest collection of around 24 bottles currently but I'm not really buying anything to age, so the number may not grow to be too large. I tend to drink a couple bottles per month so I just replace as I consume.
@@bruceharlick3322 That's great! I just have a modest collection of around 24 bottles that are stored in a smaller sized wine fridge. As of now I am not purchasing any for investment or for aging, so as I drink 1 or 2 bottles per month I simply replace as I go. It's fun!

I love how genuinely excited Alexander talks about dining. You can tell that he is genuinely passionate about the fine dining industry. Congratulations on 300k! Well deserved!
Love the transparency! You pay, you pick the place, you book it like everyone else, you order what you want. No conflict of interest and means your "reviews" are the real deal.
Love your channel. 🥂 I serve at an upscale restaurant and watching your videos really inspires me to always go above and beyond to give our guests the best experience possible. Congratulations!
Alexander, you are truly "the Greatest". With each episode, you easily cut through "knotty" gastronomic questions with what MFK Fisher would call, "a bold knife and fork" -- no sword needed. Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! Simply put, you have the best, most informed and most interesting food video series ever on RUclips. Thank You. But specifically, what is it that I am applauding? 1. Your positive attitude and enthusiasm. You speak like someone who just-has-to-share a wonderful experience with his friends, rather than like a tiresome lecturer. And that welcoming feeling carries us through each entire episode with real joy -- joy that stays with us, lighting our imaginations long after. No matter what is happening on the news or in ones personal life, we have to feel good around Alexander. 2. You are extremely articulate, extremely well-spoken and to-the-point. There is no confusion hidden by the ubiquitous "well, you know", "yeah, yeah" or the useless tittering of others. 3. You, VERY GENEROUSLY, take us to places we have read of and dreamed about but cannot ourselves hope to visit. But with you -- we are there over and over. Thank you for not continuing the worship of shoeless grandmothers who's street booths specialize in pickled iguana goiters jeweled by iridescent fly wings. Enough of that! Thank you for respecting ART, and especially as it is ephemeral in "the food world", for taking us to its most noted galleries. 4. Your photography is first class. No shaking cameras, no missing the dish. Always, there is enough time to see (and almost taste) what is being shown. And with it, always a very clear description of every element involved, till I feel I have been swept away to Oz. 5. Your menu and WINE choices are NOT budget selections. Thank You. You take the most elaborate, that is, you show the restaurant at its best, with no apologies like, "Well, I couldn't afford the supplementary truffles or the Krug Le Mesnil." It is always the whole foldout. Thank you! 6. Your brief introductions or excursions into historical or background elements are wonderful. They bring the whole story of each person and location into greater focus. 7. The "repeatability" of each show is a further treat. That is, as is said about much great poetry or literature, each time you re-read it or, as here, you see it, you always get more. I am saying that, YOU ARE NEVER BORING. You just WOW us. My single hesitation: 1. Your English is "beyond perfect", but you have a charming accent that you should never lose, however, because of that, speak just a little slower. Your words, like the food, are worth savoring. And, too, be careful of the music overwhelming -- not too loud. You've always got me hooked at the highest level already with or without it. During a time of great sorrow, uncertainty, and political difficulty in the world, your show is a real uplift -- a strong light of hope. And while I will never be able to go to these restaurants in person, I want you to know that I am thrilled to see that real art still has a chance and to witness it from my place behind your pocket square. Thank you endlessly, and may you continue to conquer the world,
ATG, you exemplify what’s great about RUclips, it’s not the videos or the subjects (most of what I watch I really don’t have a personal interest in), instead it’s the joy of the people who are sharing with the world their passion. As a vegetarian who’s by no means a foodie, I love watching your channel.
I think part of why I enjoy this channel so much is you obviously love doing these videos. One of the big take aways is that fine dining is supposed to be fun, not stuffy.
I spent years helping men with their drug recovery and counseling, and I always told them, “when your bank account and credit is fixed, don’t buy things, buy memories and experiences, because they will never depreciate”. When you basically said that, it made my day. Thank you. 🙏
.......well the older you get and the more memories you made ...... the more they fade away ....... drinking alcohol constantly also does not help to preserve them in later years i can imagine ......... and btw this guy buys a lot of things , suits and wine bottles alone he admitted too. but that "only buy memories and experiences" is part of a certain intellectual , bit dishonest , snobbery too
Like all other videos on this channel, I love how there is almost no useless fillers. This video provides exactly what it claims to do, a lot of Q&A in good tempo. Thank you for showing us things most of us can only dream about without making yourself look like a rich brat or us like unaccomplished.
Congrats for the 300k, Sándor! So nice to get to know you as a person. It made me emotional when you talked about the dish your mother came up with. Such a beautiful memory.
I'm from Brazil and am not in a financial condition to dine in the fine restaurants you feature in your videos. However, I wanted to express my gratitude.
As always, it's another excellent video. I sold my restaurant / Inn in 2020 at 54 and retired, but now I'm bored. My garden's new smaller, submissive menu restaurant is in the works. Can't keep a chef from the passion and love of creating.
Wishing you much success on your new endeavor. I’m a home cook and nothing brings me as much joy as planning and executing a delicious meal. There’s so many places to find inspiration. Cheers 🥂
I guess what I like most about your channel is your enthusiasm and honesty. Congratulations on really living your life & thanks for sharing with a wider audience. These fine dining restaurants are the peak of our 'need to eat' and deserve all the attention they get.
Alexander, Horeca from NL speaking! Keep being transparent and open-minded,it’s much appreciated, sharp and to the point! You reputation is word of mouth already. Much appreciated again! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Congratulations, Alexander! Yours is one of the very few channels I look forward to. Informative, precise and thorough reviews, great production value, and always entertaining.
This channel is a prime of example of quality, expertise, and a balanced perspective. I just discovered yesterday and I'm totally hooked despite never having any fine dining experience. Also, I really like what you say about learning. I read somewhere that the truest measure of intelligence is not what you know, but a good perspective on what you don't know. Really great work, AtG!
Congratulations Mr. Alexander. Your content is joyful to watch, and has inspired me to visit 2 Michelin-starred restaurants during my travels. Keep creating.
