Been collecting Cold Steel since the late 80s. Have way more fixed blades and shovels, swords, axes, etc. But some folders I have are the Rajah 1 in aluminum and micarta, original Night Force liner locks in AUS8A, large Twistmaster in Carbon V, Black Rock Hunter. Nice collection.
I have a good size collection of Cold Steel knives. Most of mine are from close to 20 years ago when they were putting out the Custom Series versions in san mai iii. If you ever get a chance check out the custom series Black Talon and Black Sable in san mai, they were works of art. A bit heavy for regular pocket carry with the thick polished micarta scales (similar to that Espada) and heavy polished bolsters but beautiful, high quality knives. I have pretty much every knife that they put out in the custom series or in san mai iii from back then. I'm surprised that I don't see/hear more about cold steel on youtube, they're solid knives. I used to go to their annual parking lot sales for some great deals when I still lived in Ca. Almost lost half my index finger to a Vaquero Grande like yours, that's when I switched to carrying mainly fixed blades. Was flicking it open and closed when I wasn't paying attention, didn't get my finger out of the way fast enough, hit bone right next to the second knuckle. Bourbon may have been involved. Only 2 stiches but it sure felt like it was going to be a lot more when that thing snicked closed, lucky I didn't sever a tendon. Wife still snickers about it.
