This method is AWESOME, you can pick the kiddos out who have been Swim Labs trained at a meet…they are the ones with GREAT form and speed!

İ have an important question. İ saw Shinji's total immersion catch phase, and Terry Laughlin. They are catching water before other hand enter the water. But a lot of other ti swimmers catching water after other hand enter the water. Why is there a difference. And Terry does some kind of S shape during pull phase. There is no standardization in Total immersion. İ have confused.

Great observation! Might depend on the tempo/pace the swimmer is swimming at. More experienced swimmers, and faster pace would roll into their catch early. Slower swimmers, learning catch, we encourage a slightly longer wait to capture some rotation to help shape the catch. Even Terry worked on improving aspects of his stroke, progressively and mindfully. An "s" pull can sometimes be indicative of slipping the water, but for others is their default movement pattern. One size does not fit all. Total Immersion isn't technique remember, it's a way of approaching your swimming. An understanding that deep practice, and awareness is how to improve skill, efficiency and speed

Sir but how do. It seems easy here but it is very hard in water

Yes a very complex skill that needs some foundation mechanics before embarking on the movement. Stable lead arm, tune into your rotation from entry arm on the other side, resist pulling down or back too soon, and just 'allow' the elbow to pop up... forming that rounded under arm shape, like a fit ball - as shown in the video. Make it feel like you're holding your position in the water, and PRESS not PULL back. We will post some other clips to help you build the movements
