Less Than Jake was huge back in the day, I wish they were more often remembered. Immortalized in this movie, however. Such a great collab.

So grateful and lucky to have been at the peak of my childhood when this movie came out in 1997. I was 8. And watched Nickelodeon religiously. Honestly, this song could actually represent my entire childhood lol. Nickelodeon will never be like it used to be even if they try. 90s Nick was something special.

@@cosmicsin8292 You were REALLY small then, lol, cause while there were a few leftover boy bands - 2001 onwards was the Creed Halftime Show and Murica stopping the terrorists and the world completely changed overnight. Ska didn't really survive into the 00's, despite some still playing - it was never mainstream again. And this soundtrack is definitively 90's. Tony Hawk games are a good example, just look at the soundtracks from THPS 1 and 2 compared to Underground and it's clear there's a heavy rock influence in the 2000's and ska faded away. The only reason there's a crossover is cause they still played some 90's songs in the early 2000's. The Top 100's in the early 2000's were full of Nickelback, club rap, and alt rock that all sounds like Creed or Three Doors Down, and that's about it. No Doubt went super pop and left most of their ska roots by then. Even in 2000, 3 Doors Down and Nickelback were really taking over the radio. Green Day kinda sold out and Punk mainstream died right around American Idiot as well.

This song, as well as the movie, is just a good thing to unwind and destress to. Our ol' buddy Ed telling us its all gonna be chill and that we're all dudes.
I used to watch this movie all the time as a little kid, and I loved it just as much as I do now. Lately I've been going through such a hard time, I mean life's a shoe and I've just been an ant. Anyways a relative of mine recently bought this movie and I watched it, for the first time in over 20 years. And I gotta say when I was little things were a a shit ton easier, innocent, worry free (for the most part), and overall just a much more enjoyable time, ESPECIALLY COMPARED TO NOW! And even in the intro of the movie I felt all of those feelings rush back and hit me with a wave of nostalgia I've never experienced before, it was overwhelming and to be honest I spent most of the movie pausing to cry uncontrollably. Anyways I just thought I'd share that, and I'm getting that same feeling now from listening to this soooo imma head out lol
