I love both Stipe & Overeem, it's yet another one of those fights where I don't wanna see either guy lose... If I'm honest I can see overeem becoming the new champ, i feel like his skill range is a lot more diverse when it comes to those kicks to the leg/body because of his kickboxing/K-1 background... he literally needs this win to cement his place in history having won the strikeforce heavyweight world title, dream heavyweight world title & K-1 world grand prix title AND he is one of only two people ever to hold both an MMA title and K-1 kickboxing title at the same time! either way I'm hoping for a great fight!

Overeem has fought a lot of guys like Stipe and beat them. In fact Overeem beat JDS who is a better version of Stipe. Stipe has never fought anybody like Overeem.
Stipe is a better Wrestler than JDS, don't be surprised if stipe shoot-boxes. It's what he has to do against a beast like overeem, best striker of all history in my opinion.
JDS isn't too similar to overeem but their counter punching styles are VERY similar. Stipe is maybe a little better at pressuring but JDS has better chin, combination punching and power. Stipe is a little tougher matchup but I have Overeem taking this fight. Stipe has yet to beat a good striker. He got outlanded by Jds when jDS was on the fence lol

I've got Overeem, who in a million years thought he could beat JDS? Yes JDS didn't look as good in the Reem fight as he did when he lit up big Ben... But really a KNOCKOUT over JDS... (Who by HW maths by the way has beat all the best, including Werdum, Stipe, Velasquez.. Struve) But as you know UFC HW maths just doesn't work... Any of the fighters could win, it takes one punch in the HW division, or for one fighter to just not show up on the night... Alistair has been here before, he has much more experience, he is fighting very smart, very intelligently now, has just as much power as he's ever had if not more and is on fire, is also notorious for being well rounded. Stipe is coming here on a high, on home turf, eager... But will that be enough? I think I personally take more experience, more well rounded fighter on the night. Best of luck to both fighters.
