哩套優良粵語片嘅故事…係改編自[巴金]大師嘅名著小說[憩園], 而喺1964年~[香港]嘅[鳳凰影業公司]都曾經出產過一套由[夏夢、平凡]等合演嘅國語片[故園春夢]…全片亦都係以上嘅故事橋段; 只不過: 粵語片版本嘅[黎小田]角式係改由國語片版本嘅[王小燕]演出(演[楊夢痴]女兒)、粵語片版本嘅[梁俊密]角式則由國語片版本嘅[石修]去演出; 好湊巧~國語片同粵語片入面…[石修]都係有份演出, 喺粵語片版本入面係演[楊夢痴]嘅少年。
哩套片嘅長短背景音樂都運用得好配合、好適當, 全片由主題音樂[無錫景]去間中出現(即片頭字幕嘅配樂~前大段係[無錫景]、後少部份係[孟姜女])。所以話: 一套電影嘅配樂同歌曲嘅安排都好重要, 好彩~哩套片嘅配樂都可以90%咁保存住…而冇出現畀CUT過, 但又cut唔淨嘅”吱吱”聲(所以今次我有畀Like)。

這個年代已經沒有多少中國人懂得欣賞這種有教育意義的電影了!
很喜歡此片既感人又警世黎小田的演出十分討人憐憫及喜歡。當中喪禮各兄弟相商討分錢賣屋盡顯人性醜陋不過當時一句對白“keep住啲錢”好像不似民國時代的老話而白燕指責張活游懦弱及委屈也發人心醒此確是一部百看不厭的好片。

Actually, do you know the value of $100 in the time of Ba Jin? Granted, this movie was not very consistent with money, because later on they were fighting over $3 and $5.
前妻嗰亞媽重惡過家婆，後妻為甚麽去見她，跟本不需來往。前妻的孩子不聽教就不要理他，做西南二伯父最好。
Their family's living depended on her, or at least they did until Cheung Wood Yau's character got enough courage to get away.

In case anyone missed it, this was adapted from a Ba Jin novella. I have not read the novella, but judging from the movie. Ba Jin matured significantly since his Passion Trilogy.
What's the Passion trilogy? Is it Family, Spring and Autumn? There is another movie title in 4 words starting with gold 金 I think also written by him， is it good?
@@truth8307 . I guess Passion may not be a good translation. I think 人倫 was the only other movie adapted from 巴金 's work by 中聯. There was no movie called 金. There was 血染黃金 , but that was not adapted from Ba Jin.

我今年已七十歲，看超過百多部粵語長片，而「人倫」這部電影我看過不下六、七次，我亦以這部影片評價最高，它無論劇情之感人和在教育意義上，都是現今的電影無法比擬的。 再者，在影片的 37:50 中，那段背境音樂的樂曲名字，不知叫什麽名字呢? 我已找尋四十多年了，但仍遍尋不獲，希望有識之士能告知我，謝謝 ！
此曲是「關山月」， 曲調蒼凉婉轉， 意境深遠！ 令人百聽不厭。 希望兄台能多欣賞。

I have watched this before, including on the 4K channel, but I am really glad to see this here so that others can see this movie. The only thing that would have made this movie better is if the juxtaposed the two story lines instead of just telling the Ng Chor Fan story all the way through in the middle. Maybe that was not that easy then because film was expensive and editing might be difficult.
Just hope young people will be interested in preserving these movies
@@thepalacemaid Many movies are already lost in warehouse fire and due to flooding. But we need to clean up the rest, digitalize them and prevent more oxidation. I don't know what HK Film Archive does especially in restoration, or what their funding is from. I think if they hire Criterion, expert in film restoration, we can restore and then preserve the remaining of the movies. Money talks. I am willing to contribute what I can, but it just takes one rich HK tycoon to get the job done I think. Is there no tycoon who treasures those old movies, even if it is in their parents' memories?

Which man? Ng or Cheung. The point of the story is that it was too late for Ng's character, but Cheung's character had a chance, and he got it with the help of his wife.
@@dadama925 : Actually I mean both men. Thanks for sharing! You are right, Cheung's had a chance, but he didn't take the problem (his son's future) seriously, instead he stayed on the side of his mother in law who gave him the high bank position and the luxurious life. It is too sad!
From Ng's story, we can see how important parenting and home living style are. It is lt is too sad that Ng's father already made a bad choice for his future.
@@mariawong6965 Bak saved Cheung. In the confrontation scene, Bak explained what Cheung's problem was, forcing him to face it. When he slapped her, not so much from anger with her, but with himself, that was the key moment. He came out on the right side of it. Notice how Cheung talked as the movie evolved, from totally artificial with no empathy for others to like a real human being with empathy at the end. Bak Yin was the central character, but Cheung's growth was the key part of the movie.

If you are thinking of 1:31, where they were in their family at the end, that was traditional tune called 彩雲追月 ruclips.net/video/YvLbzlxmM64/видео.html . It was made into a popular song called 幾度花落時, and then more recently into the Sally Yeh song Red Dust. Some of this info was conveyed by 陳小吉 , but his/her message could not be found here.
