Hey Mr White, Sir. Can you please make a Spotify playlist consisting of all the music possible (especially the instrumentals) that you use in all of your videos. Would make an epic soundtrack to drive/ adventure/ camp to.
I do not think another human alive understands cars like you and your connetion. i have had so much trouble finding someone who wants to talk to me about a new life for my troopy. love your passion. thank you for your love.
Absolutely love the story of the customer that wanted their rusted Land Cruiser redone. That shows how vehicles, no matter what it is, can impact your life that you will do anything to save it. Now that Land Cruiser will continue living and one day be handed down to their children. Great, great story.
Nice to see Bella so prominently featured in this video. Joubert and his team did a stunning job, especially if you factor in that HJ47s were never sold in the Troopy configuration in South Africa - so sourcing of parts was not always easy! Lucky that she didn't have to be brought "back from the dead" LOL. Since getting her back I took possession of a custom roof rack which is stunning - also fabricated in Cape Town by a talented and meticulous young man!
I once tore an old split screen tray back out of a barn and gave it a service, just fluids and ignition and she burst back into life, quite amazing how sturdy it was. We were on a large farm and the owner was so pleased that he re- garaged it closer to the house and admonished the manager for using it as a motorized wheel barrow. I also fixed a water pump for him and we decided to let it go and flood one of the paddocks. Off we go in this old beast in the dead of night to turn off the pump and she made it through the flood we had created. The owner bought a bottle of whisky along and some disposable cups and kept handing me a small one. We made it out but there was an electrical failure and I had no headlights, we made it home and I rectified the problem in the morning but what fun.
That passion for rebuilding to such a high quality is amazing. And doing those rebuilds isn’t even to make money just help restore an incredible array of vehicles.
Absolutely wonderful! If I ever become a millionaire, I know exactly what I am going to do. Fly straight to this workshop with a suitcase full of money.
Great video! I am about to do the same with both my 75 and 80! Happy to see so many people overstand the beauty of the classic Cruisers ! Thanks, Andrew !!
Just when I thought South Africa was losing all of it's talent because of a useless and corrupt organization,we find these jewels, Paul Marsh and Joubert. He definitely makes me proud to be South African. Andrew! As usual absolutely bloody brilliant! Sad to see that you have left us but happy that you're still thinking of us old chap.
As soon as I watched this episode........I remembered the video you made a promise that you'll make a video on these fj47.....thank you 👏👏👏for honouring it
Wish i still had my 1979 FJ40 , came with factory air con. Love them old land cruisers, i own two FJ cruisers, but still miss my old 40. Nice vid . Thx. Matt
I love the 40 series so much, it hurts to not be able to afford to rebuild one at the moment. One day I’ll have a mustard 47 Ute with 12ht and 5 speed.
That was a good video, I've always been into Classic Vehicle Restoration and those rebuilds were of a very high quality. Very interesting, many thanks for making the video.
Friends of mine here in Namibia did a custom build where they fit an FJ45 body on a 79 series doublecab 4.5 v8 diesel chassis and interior. Absolute stunner!
Thanks Andrew for showing us that very nice video how they restore those vehicles .. it hurts that Toyota being a Japanese company has Japanese thinking about the past .. the truth is that the 40 series is the icon of toyota and it hurts what that we have arrived today with the name of the land cruiser .. except for the 70 series which is the one that saves that name .. 40 'is much more than a car there are infinite emotions behind that vehicle .. I only Said to anyone who restores a 40 'please keep it as original as possible.
Would have been interesting to compare the 45 troopy with the 75/78 troopy for car camping. The 45 has quite a few advantages and more and more people are using them again to overland very long distance : - Roof conversion for a popup is easy and cheap, the roof cap unbolt so you don't need to cut anything and it exists plans on the Internet to build a popup cap by yourself to bolt in place. - Straight walls on the back means you have more room at body height to live inside the vehicle. - Straight wall also means you have more width to sleep inside, particularly at roof level (with a popup), you gain 20cm in width and can sleep in a lot of confort ! Of course they are very old vehicles with everything that goes with but they are also very easy to fix on the road by any mechanic in the world.
Are you thinking of getting one Andrew? :) That would make a stunning series to watch the rebuild and kitting out of an old legend. I know you love your modern troopy but this just has so much more character and soul
Oh Andrew, Andrew, Andrew! My only complaint about this video is that no bibs were provided for the drool. And that's why you must go green or that lovely powdery blue on your new build.
Here in Brazil we have the Bandeirante, it’s so nice to see how this passion is worldwide, I just bought a militar ambulance to restore as an Overland rig.
love seeing what these guys are doing with these old Land Cruisers I only hope that they owners actually use them you see so many cars and trucks that are made to look like new but then end up only going to car shows or are left in garages waiting for there price to go up they should be enjoyed a few scratches and dents only add to the joy of owning them.
Purist watching this with tears in their eyes for sure!!
Joubert is a gem here. His passion, humility, patience, and genuineness are remarkable. Seldom seen, completely endearing.
Would love to see and hear more of him talking about his passion and his projects.
South Africa still has so much tallent! Absolutely fantastic rebuilds!
Joubert is a legend. Great that he gives back to the Land Cruiser community.

Brings back memories of my dad’s FJ40. I think it was a 73.
What amazing and beautiful vehicles these are. ❤️

Landcruisers, best vehicles ever made 👍

@@badcommentbot8349 what's funny?
Something special about the old ones!
Such a privilege to see these guys sharing their craft, was awesome watching the 105 Series being done but this was an absolute treat.
Andrew. As a proud owner of a 100 series. This is such an interesting video
Any vehicle that’s given a new lease of life makes me happy
My 71 fj40 is an absolute pleasure to drive. Nothing quite like the roof and doors off, windshield folded, bouncing through the bush. Such a blast.
I can think of one other vehicle that IS quite like it. you might even say it was cloned and the C was replaced with an F 👍
@@Ihateironyanddumbusernames I love jeeps. I've had several.

Can't get enough of these classic Land Cruisers. I drive a Tacoma, that will have to do for now.
That BJ46 is absolutely beautiful! Man, i wish I never let my BJ40 go. :(
Aaaa, die nostalgie, niks so lekker soos om ou goed weer nuut te maak en te laat werk nie
Thank you Andrew brings back memories of the adventures I had in my blue HJ47. All the times I worked on it. Memories ❤️❤️
The exact reason why we love 4x overland. "The pinnacle "❤ , keep up the good work. Also thank you for adding the old intro , It is the best ....
That old rig would have a lot of 4x4 stories to tell,a lot of time and money spent to keep them stories coming, great build.
I wish this man had his shop in 🇺🇸....he’s amazing with his passion for what he does...
Back to basics, Andrew! I had lost faith in your programming, lately. Glad to see you are coming back to giving us what we come to you for.
My son was able to buy his 105-series through Paul and Joubert. It was a restoration for an international syndicate that fell apart. Very happy.
That's interesting. International syndication? Tell us more.
Great video! I am about to do the same with both my 75 and 80! Happy to see so many people overstand the beauty of the classic Cruisers ! Thanks, Andrew !!
They're beautiful. I'm definitely a FJ40 series fan. Particularly the SWB hardtop version and the Troopy.
Nothing better than a beautiful OEM style classic the way it was originally designed
What a wonderful video , could listen to Paul for ages.
A full 17 minutes of classic Land Cruiser porn... Stunning.

Beauts. Such outstanding restoration work.
So many awesome vehicles I wish were available more in the US. Thanks for the great video as always!
Proof that "simple" can equal beauty.
Seeing these old Cruisers brought back memories of driving FJ40's and 55's in the 1970's.
Absolutely magnificent work. I got emotional, I won't lie
Just awesome. If only more of RUclips could be a bit like this channel!
It's truly touching to see these great old vehicles resurrected and given new life 😭😭😭♥️♥️♥️🥰🥰🥰😊😊😊
That light green looks like the green on old Land Rovers
It's very similar to LR Heritage Green. But in the flesh, brighter with a bit more blue in it.
Stunning inspirational educational can’t stop watching it......... superb
I'm from NZ my boy and I love watching and listening to your story's. Never stop. Your passion is our dream. Keep up the fantastic work.

What a delight!. High time Toyota made a little one using their collaboration with Suzuki.
It's amazing to see what happens so close to home.
Great vid. Thanks Andrew

It's been a dream to own a 40 series which is almost as old as I am.
I luv these little trucks.
