Man, the more I see what's supposed to be "authentic" Italian pasta, the more I think only we here in the US are putting noodles into fully pureed tomatoes. Seems like the norm elsewhere is hand crushing whole tomatoes and stirring in half-cooked pasta, which then finishes with the veggies almost like a stew. I can't help but think we're doing it wrong.
