Very helpful! I was a bit disappointed that the shawl I bought was asymmetrical and was wondering if they ran out of yarn, but I see now that there is a purpose to it! nice!
Hi Tamara. What a fun video! It’s very helpful to see how to style these shawls! Love your shawl pin collection! I totally agree about reading the patterns and charts when watching a tutorial. It’s a great way to learn. Thanks for sharing!🤗🤗
Terri Ott i got it at a craft fair in Glasgow UK I was just looking yesterday at the box it came in and the company name isn’t on it as I was going to try online to get another 1 💕
This was so good. I need tutorials and all the "shawls" rectangular and triangular too!! I love making shawls and cowls to wear at work. Keeps me warm and pretty! Thanks Tamara
I often use a small plastic hair clippie for a shawl fastener. I have them in a variety of colors so they blend in well & are not obvious. Have even worn them with shawls to church. I like that I can leave one attached to the edge of a shawl and just put on & take off the shawl over my head. Pins are classy & pretty (sometimes a bit pricey) and I own a few but my standard go-to shawl fastener is the inexpensive but dependable hair clippie.
You may be a bit young, but years ago the Barrett was a very common accessory. In addition to beautiful barrettes, that woven leather piece that you showed with the stick that goes through it, was the quintessential ponytail adornment. (Or just to pull som front hair back to gather on the top). Fun to find uses for things.
Thanks for this video. Always wondered about various ways to wear these shawls. There are so many patterns for asymmetrical shawls.

I’m in Australia and I love shawl pins too! Have many handmade wooden ones, some with magnets too, from a little family business in Melbourne 🇦🇺
