  • After having lunch on Monday’s I usually head trackside and see what is to be seen. Today #14 was playing catch up and was scheduled in Salem just 10 mins before train #11. Knowing this I set up at Labish to catch the meet. Wouldn't you know there just happens to be a private car on the rear of #11 (Pullman Car “Dearing”) and in the lead of #14 was B32-8WH #503. Needless to say, worth filming!
    Power for #11 is P42DC #164 & P40DC #824. Power for #14 is B32-8WH #503 & P42DC #18.

I was lucky enough to also see the Dash 8 leading #14 on Monday in Eugene.

Nice stuff! I caught 11 in Tacoma, and found out why it was 6 more axles than usual. I didn’t catch 14 because it got to late. 503 should be leading southbound today if you want to see it.

Why have the SB train wait on the main, and make the NB take the siding?
