What you can do with the heart is pickle it let it soak in vinegar and and salt for a bit clean it and then boil it till done ,,,pickle it and put some onion in with it ,,I like to let it set for 30 days or longer then slice it and serve it with cheese and crackers very good

I think I'd watch Catman if he just filmed himself standing in the middle of a field for an hour. WHY? Well, for one, HE DOESN'T NAME THE DEER!!!! He doesn't paint the "monster drink" logo on his face, He doesn't hyperventilate like someone just poured a bucket of ice water down his shorts and get this girly quivering voice-stairing off in disbelief and asking "out loud" what just happened, did that just happen?" OOOOMMMMGGG! I/E he is a real, and thank the Lord genuine person that I'd be proud to know, hunt with and just call my friend, and BTW you didn't have 2X T's or I would have at least a couple headed my way, All the best to you Cat, hope you read this.

I was planning on shooting a Doe this evening but didn't see a thing. The rut is winding down in Wisconsin. We only get 1 buck tag and I shot a nice 9pt on November 5th. Gun season opens the 23rd here so hopefully one of the big boys is still hanging around. Good luck the rest of your season.. Nice shot on that Doe.
We just started gun here, and found a fresh rub that was within the last 3 days, so the rut is still on here.

That's a great technique putting small shot plots inside of cover, we used to do that all the time when we had our deer lease and it really works. I've killed many deer with a bow over small food plots, problem is it doesn't take the deer long to devour a small plot. I haven't had much luck so far this season, but I saw about 30 deer up north Missouri on my brother's place this past weekend. Lot's of chasing going on and saw at least 5 small bucks chasing does and even spike trying to get in on the action, but none of them were legal. Ended up jumping a nice shooter out of his bed, but couldn't get a shot. This weekend will be crunch time and by that I mean I need to get some back straps in the freezer!
That was a satisfying "THWACK"!
This evening I had a nice buck come and I had a solid miss at 35 yards

It was an awesome video cat man it's Friday night here in South Carolina and it's raining I haven't been able to really get in the woods and devote some serious time on trying to catch a white tail on their feet last Saturday morning I missed a small 8 point which would have put a good deal of meat in my freezer so I'm going to give it a try tomorrow morning it will be raining but I'm going to be sitting in the ground blind and giving it I chance really enjoyed watching this video I hope to see some more hunts and from South Carolina we will be watching

I got a young doe yesterday here in MO. However buck wise at the moment I'm hunting in the 4 point restriction part of Missouri. The rest of the season I'll hunt near home in South Missouri where there is no restrictions on bucks. What part of Missouri you in?

Never feel like I'm up high enough when I'm in the ladder. I go up 20, 25 in the climber, and at 15 feet I almost feel like I'm just putting myself in their line of sight.
I feel the same way, but sometimes the deer just don’t have a clue. I don’t hunt these stands very much because they will start to catch on.

we haven't been notified to check for CWD this far south. I don't think there have been any confirmed cases down here in northern alabama.

I got it from the co-op, VNS (variety not specified) wheat seed 50 pound bag. My Facebook page is called Catman Outdoors
@@CatmanOutdoors Thanks! Keep up the good work. You do a great job in explaining your process and procedures for public land hunting. We agriculture extension center. I will check them out. I know that farmers submit seed for germination testing and a lot of it goes to waste.
Hey Catman, you interested in coming to Maui and doing some hunting in 2020? I got an extra room you can crash in and a few good spots to hunt. Axis deer, Spanish goats, and Polynesian boar. $150 for out of state hunting license and NO tag fees. Maybe throw in some fishing and/or spear fishing.

There’s parts of that spot where you can only see 5 yards. The cedars are a little more open at ground level, but it’s all thick woods up there.
Is Tennessee overran with deer? Liberal limits and you see more 🦌 in one sit than I see all year in East Texas.
