Did she become a maiko at 18? Is Nara structured differently then Kyoto in how long people can be maiko and at what age range they have to be maiko? Iv seen some places have young looking women be maiko into there later teens given possibly that there district didn't have maiko or are run differently then Kyoto from my understanding. Nara's Kikuno is still practicing as well. I think she has 3 maiko under her in 2020.
