The caddies on the Liv tour must be feeling pretty good at the moment especially their bank accounts. I heard Liv look after their caddies very well.

My thoughts as a caddie: We are expendable horses who are responsible for the result of the ball without touching it, and have to hoof 7 miles per round carrying vastly oversized heavy bags. The Tour and caddy service programs needs to treat them better than them relying on the Pro's personal paychecks to cover their lives.

Ted Scott knows the game inside out , is a very decent player and a superb golf / life coach. Also an incredibly nice person.

I often wondered if McIlroy would have won a few more majors if he had stuck with his original caddy.

$4 Million first prize on LIV TOUR to win and another $750k to each player on winning team, so when DJ and his team win his caddie makes $475k and LIV GOLF treats the players and caddies and 2 close family members like gold😊

Steve Williams has got to be one of the richest he was on the bag for more majors than anyone else. First with Ray Floyd then then Tiger and he helped Adam Scott for majors recently he doesn’t need the money

Get your facts right, he hasn’t won 2 majors and had 4 wins in 2022 not 2021 !

You missed the big talking point of why Scotty picked him. They are both men of faith, so this was important and a perfect fit for Scotty. I'm an atheist so didn't get the call 🙂 Wonder how much Steve Williams got for all those years with Tiger and I wonder how much he got paid to keep his mouth shut about Tiger. Mind you, he didn't take the parting of ways terribly well.

Joe Lacava is the richest per-round caddie. Ted Scott probably took a lot of lip from Bubba and he’s counting his blessings to caddie for a guy with a better disposition than Bubba. Kudos to him for squaring up Sheffler before agreeing to carry his bag.
Alex, this is what I don’t understand about being a caddie: WTH are we punishing caddies by making them carry 100lb bags? Damn. It ridiculous. It looks like they’d let these guys have a pull cart or, at least, these ridiculous Tour bags would be cut down.

I understand having a good caddy is awesome, but I think that the professional golfer relies too much on them now in the modern day of golf in my opinion it's slow down the pace of play to much discussion about each and every shot, not enough dission making on the pro.

That's a good money, but he deserved it by far! He only gets 800tsd if scottie makes more than 8 millions.. Every caddy needs a sauce time with his professional, because he has to earn the money for his whole life. Others go to work 35 years and then they get about 3 million payed for the whole life till they die. So you can see how much career money a caddie has to earn till he ends his work - he needs more than 3 million earns without costs to have the same. And the caddie of scottie scheffler needs 4 seasons with 800tsd to get the same level as a working man...

Sorry, but I completely disagree. As you said, “show up, keep up, shut up”. Can you imagine Hogan asking his caddie for advice? How about Nicklaus, or maybe Trevino? If today’s player needs a “Mommy” figure to help him win, he will NEVER amount to anything.
