I was actually surprised that all of the snacks are what elder Koreans enjoy. There's even a meme in Korea where kids call these snacks "what my dad buys when I ask him to grab me real snacks on the way home". I feel like Eugene grew up with the classic snacks since Korean stores in the US tend to be a little outdated. Maybe the reactions might be different if they tried more popular snacks that most Koreans enjoy nowadays.

@@aur9035 hey so kimchi (also sauerkraut and any fermented foods but especially the ones that are fermented without sugar such as kimchi and Sauerkraut) are great for your bowels. They help add more goo bacteria to the gut and your gut is the most important factor in overall health including skin complexion. They say the gut is your mind therefore having fermented foods can ease the mind.

Honestly I appreciate how open-minded Zach was about tasting new flavors. Being Korean-American myself, squid is just one of those yummy snack flavors you KNOW is savory, salty, and delicious so it was a bit of reverse culture shock to see some of their negative gut reactions to it!

As an Asian, I had tried most of these snacks before. Except the sweet potatoe one. My favorite is the Shrip, the squid/ peanut one, and the choco pie. All my childhood snacks! I also enjoy the squid and fish jerkys flakes too! It may smell weird the the taste is really good.

I had a best friend who was white and we had him over for dinner a lot.
One day, we gave him a side dish which is this spicy marinated dried squid.
He was SO against trying it. But he decided to take a nibble, and his eyes widened.
It became his favorite and asked if we had it every time we had him for dinner afterwards.
In short,

I ate fried squid at a marriage when I was young, and I remember I just couldn’t stop. Nowadays I don’t think I would try it (especially considering that I’m a vegetarian 😂), but you’re right, always try new stuff! So rewarding, I really wanna go to Asia and taste everything one day - even though being vegetarian kinda limits my options but still 😁
I’m Mexican and sometimes at the seafood cookouts we have fried baby squids their whole little bodies with their heads still attached so good with Chile and lemon
I love shrimp and squid chips or dried squid but unfortunately my pregnancy doesn't allow me to eat them ep squid. It will taste straight up skunks lol. I feel where she's coming from.

I'm from Vietnam, and I have never heard of nut allergies until I went study abroad in the U.S... One of my American friends who has onion and garlic allergies visited Vietnam once, and I was in constant fear for her life :)

Oh and those fish jerkies: you’re suppose to heat them on a grill to soften and crisp them up (and to remove the fish smell) BEFORE you have them with beer. They are sooo… good.
Poor Ariel! I can’t imagine how overwhelming all these new smells must be affecting her during her pregnancy. According to my mom, pregnancy makes you SUPER sensitive to smells and taste.
In my opinion, I feel like that’s why she didn’t participate in the cat litter/smelliest things video. I’m not too sensitive to smells currently but I’m sure it would’ve been horrible for her

Yep. Still can't stand the smell of Ax Body Sprays even to this day. It smells like hot garbage to me. Sometimes pregnancy permanently alters (addles? Lol) your brain. Smelling ANY Ax Body sprays makes my mouth salivate and acid rise in the back of my throat. :::shivers:::
