I prefer to call this phrase "djembe call" or "djembe signal", because "break" can mean other things like a pre-agreed phrase played by everyone (after the signal).
If not Djembe, which drum is most fun to play ? I grow up playing a full drum set / kit and had a band in my late teens.. now I wanna restart playing, but feel going to buy a full drum kit in an apartment in the city is not gonna work.. So, am considering some kind of percussion but not sure which of the so many choices I sold look into? I like it it versatile that you can play both traditional beats but also make it modern and funky ....
