As the rain continues its ceaseless fall, the silence of the empty world feels like an unexpected sanctuary, offering serenity amidst the haunting echoes of a forgotten future.
There, stood the last Outpost. The few survivors last hope of finding help. They have been staying in that building for months now. The outside air is hazardous for them to be able to set foot in the nature that once served them, with its beauty, with its fresh air, with its resourcefulness. But now, with their food supplies, their will to live and their faiths dwindling as days go by, the question keeps arising in their heads, "was it all worth it"?
This structure will be nearly if not completely gone within a few hundred years of being abandoned, as will most human-made structures. Not even the blink of an eye in planetary time. With the exception of a few massive stone structures, it will all be gone and no one will even know it was there. This is the way of things.
Really cool. To me it's like an old remote secret government facility in the Pacific Northwest, maybe Oregon, Washington or even British Columbia. Hiding classified scientific information the public could only imagine.
yes, this work is a strong reminder of what is to come in an egomaniacal and ignorant world. Lost to our illusory selves, we are destroying a fantastic planet.

@@Luspenchief Yes, this building would be a very ideal location for a well-secured base.
This is so atmospheric and calming. Impressive and inspiring, my friend!

As scary and sci fi as that building looks..i would be drawn to explore it in the day time. I just hope the pillars are solid🤔🧐
Nice deep sound, thanks!🙂
More delectably delicious ear candy. Expect nothing but the best from the Future, soon to be relegated to the past.
